Hello Silver Bloggers, how is everyone?
I forgot it was Hive Power Up Day today, I was stuck somewhere in mid-November. I didn't even remember to include a reminder about HPUD in the Saturday Savers Club post this week!
Never mind, I'm here and powering up, just a small amount today, what was in my wallet, as I still haven't sorted out KYC issues. I do have a passport now, which arrived within the week, but the driving licence application came back with an error (not mine) and a form that had to be completed and returned. I expect it will all work out.
Anyway, a small power up today to 72,500 HP and a side hustle power up for my alt savings account @susie-saver, just to join in the party.
The Big News - 12,500 EDSMMs Released
It turns out there was some demand for EDS Mini Miners (1 HIVE each), so another 12,500 were released on Wednesday and a week later, 5,000 have sold, which is amazing!
Mini Miners mine EDS which pays out a HIVE income every Monday. With this week's sales of EDSMM, the APY is 32%, very nice :) It will gradually decrease over time, very slowly, until it reaches about 16%, then it will start to increase again, as the amount of HIVE earned increases faster than the cost of mining new EDS.
EDS is a lovely savings and income token, and EDSMMs are a perfect gift if you are looking for something for friends on Hive (HSBI are a lovely gift, too, to be fair).

Saturday Savers Club
I'm really pleased with Saturday Savers Club, it's done really well this year. It would be interesting to see how much we have saved all together as a club. Perhaps next year, I'll pay more attention to recording the baseline and then we'll be able to see the cumulative difference.
The Club will be launching for 2023 on Saturday 7 January, so look out for that. We welcome all savers, big or small, and this year we've spent more time exploring investing, with some mini challenges each week, nothing too onerous, and all just for fun.
Three things newbies should do in their first week and, for most things, forever afterwards!
