Hello Hello one and all.
With one thing and another I have not been out walking much at all this last week, which was not good at all, but I did get out for a late stroll last night. It did help to lose some of those calories gained at dinner!
This is what greeted me as I came out of the house and onto the street. There are no filters in any of these pictures and the time was around ten thirty pm. I guess we would call it dusk, one thing about Scotland is that we get long nights in June!
The blues and pinks were gorgeous. I didn't find a pink bell pepper @pinkchic but I hope there is enough pink for you in this set of sky pictures!
It almost looked like there was trying be a splash of pink and blues shooting across the football ground.
I just had to nip into the house and grab my (still) new toy (camera). Nature was wowing us in the sky.
You can see it is nighttime as the cars have their lights on, but you can notice that the street lighting is still not on though!
Living on the coast we are inundated with seagulls, and sure enough I heard a few of them squawking so thought I would see if I could capture any in a picture.
These two were obliging models.
I saw another one down the bottom of the street, and I also noticed the colours were almost like layers of paint on a canvas.
Time to get up close and personal.
I love the chimney stacks silohouetted against the coloured sky, and keep your eyes on that lampost!
Yep, one of our local seagulls thought they would have a wee perch and photobomb a picture!
Come on down I said!
He, well I could not actually tell if he was a he or she was a she, but he sounds better than it, then decided to have a wee fly and I said why thank you and snapped that shot.
Whenever I see birds like this, it reminds me of how I paint a bird on a painting!
Then in the blink of an eye, on popped the street lighting. Now it was close to eleven pm. I gotta love this photography hobby of mine, when nature provides us with some many models and muses all for free:)
There we have it, and I hope that you enjoyed a wee nightime tour of our evening skies in my street in Scotland.
