Before moving to New York City and after to the Amazon, when still in Rio, I studied acting at Tablado School and CAL (Casa de Artes de Laranjeiras).
CAL is the most important acting School in Rio de Janeiro and Tablado is another School where famous actors studied.
Meeting of our Acting classmates of CAL last year at the famous Mama Rosa restaurant, an old traditional Pasta place.
Mama Rosa is located right in front of CAL, a place that we use to always hang out, back in the old good times of CAL, back in the 1986-1987.
The singer and composer Paulinho Moska was my classmate, an extraordinary person, he is very talented and a dear friend!
We are still friends these days. This photo was after one of his concerts at Casarão Ameno Resedá in Catete/ Glória, Rio de Janeiro. By my side, the galactic sister's Nat and Flavia Lôra, who were at his concert with me.
In 1995 I returned to Rio de Janeiro and worked on several cultural projects.
At this other photo, was the special day, we went to visit the Afroreggae Project, in Vigário Geral favela. I was assisting David Byrne, ex-Talking Heads, on musical research, for a new album.
In the left corner the photographer Ierê, who immortalized this sensational and unique day with his lens!
At this visit were Myself, Andréa Pontual, Junior (Project's coordinator), and the singer Seu Jorge, on the left, who took David and us to Vigário Geral, to hang out and play music with the Afroreggae band.
The Producer, Márcio, in the background, was already following the most cult things in town, he was wearing a Brazilian national team T-shirt, very young at the time.
After the sound they played together, we went to eat at the house of a lovely lady.
The food was delicious, and that afternoon was beautiful, strong, and intergalactic!
David said it was the best day of his life. Since then, we have built a nice
and fruitful friendship.
David, Seu Jorge, Ierê, Márcio, Déa, and everyone there are enlightened people.
A small army of Good warriors! We were united there, to take one more step towards a better and more beautiful world, joyful and seasoned with new good actions and musical creations.
I grew up with famous Artists and singers, It was wonderful. I still meet them here and there. Rio is a very cultural and artistic Town. I love my city very much!
