Eurasian Blue Tit - Watercolors/ Herrerillo común - Acuarelas 🐦🎨

¡Hola comunidad Hive, espero estén teniendo un día maravilloso! hoy dibujé este simpático amigo emplumado, llamado Herrerillo común (Cyanistes caeruleus) siempre me ha llamado la atención de ésta especie: sus colores, proporciones y cara tierna; pero no sabía más nada de esta especie más allá de su nombre.

Lo que pude leer sobre este simpático amigo, me llamó la atención que se encuentra en gran parte de Europa, mide 12 cm (aproximadamente), suele preferir anidar en los huecos de los árboles, pero también utilizan las cajas de nidos hechas por los humanos o anidan en el suelo. La hembra es la que cuida de los huevos, normalmente pone 10, mientras el macho provee la comida para toda la familia. Mientras algunas variedades de aves tienen las características físicas muy marcadas para reconocer cuál es hembra y cuál es macho (conocido como dimorfismo sexual), las diferencias en ésta especie son más sutiles, básicamente los mismos colores, el macho tiene las plumas azules de su cabeza con una tonalidad más viva y la banda oscura azulada cerca de sus ojos (que en mi opinión parece que estuviera usando un antifaz) es más ancha que en las hembras.

• Canson XL paper for watercolors, 300 gr.

• Prismacolor HB Pencil.

• Artist´s Loft watercolors.

• Gelly Roll Pen by Sakura.

• 3 jars with fresh water.

• Brush of different sizes: 00, 04 y 05.

Materiales:

• Papel Canson XL para acuarelas, de 300 gr.
• Lápiz HB Prismacolor.
• Acuarelas de Artist´s Loft.
• Pluma blanca llamada Gelly Roll de la marca Sakura.
• 3 Frascos con agua fresca.
• Pinceles de diferentes tamaños: 00, 04 y 05.

• First I drew a sketch of the bird, with a HB pencil.

• Primero dibujé un boceto del pájaro, con un lápiz HB.

• I started to paint the blue of the background, the brown branch, the yellow part of the body under the wings, and the green area next to the face.

• Empecé a pintar el azul del fondo, la rama marrón, la parte amarilla del cuerpo debajo de las alas y el área verde al lado de la cara.

-Then I incorporated slightly darker tones of each color, in the belly and face of the bird. Everything was going well, but I made a mistake by marking the dark blue edges of the wings so hard, it's something I should have done almost at the end and not at the beginning.

• Después incorporé tonos un poco más oscuros de cada color, en la barriga y cara del ave. Todo iba bien, pero cometí un error al marcar tan fuerte los bordes azul oscuro de las alas, es algo que debí hacer casi al final y no al comienzo.

• Here again I made the mistake of the wings, I marked very strongly the edges of the sky with the bird and the branch, it is something that must be done more gradually. I also painted the beak and eye of the bird, even though it looks almost black in the photo, I wanted the volume to show more so I used a mixture of purple and brown in these areas of the bird.

• Acá nuevamente cometí el error de las alas, marqué muy fuerte los bordes del cielo con la ave y la rama, es algo que debe hacerse de forma más gradual. También pinté el pico y ojo del ave, a pesar de que en la foto se ve casi negro, quería que se apreciara más el volumen así que usé una mezcla de violeta y marrón en estas áreas del ave.

• At this point, I used my finest brush (00) to make small lines, and simulate the bird's plumage, I took my time in this part, and it was the most fun of the whole process, I hope in the future to perfect this technique , painting animals with fur.

• En éste punto, usé mi pincel mas fino (el 00) para hacer pequeñas líneas, y simular el plumaje del pájaro, me tomé mi tiempo en esta parte, y fue la más divertida de todo el proceso, espero en el futuro perfeccionar esta técnica, pintando animales con pelaje.

• In this part of the process, I felt that perhaps the blue color of the background was not the best choice, and I tried to incorporate a little purple in the sky, since this color not only goes well with the blue but is the complement of the yellow present. in the belly of the bird.

-En esta parte del proceso, sentí que quizás el color azul del fondo no fue la mejor elección, e intenté incorporar un poco de púrpura en el cielo, ya que este color no sólo va bien con el azul, sino que es el complementario del amarillo, presente en la barriga del pájaro.

• Finally, I used my new white Sakura gel pen, for the glitter on the bird's eye, on her plumage and legs. Although it is not a realistic painting, and the background gave me some problems, I find it to be a more acceptable result, compared to my previous painting. What do you think? For my next post, I will try another digital drawing. I am open to suggestions! birds, furry animals, landscapes, flowers, plants...

• Finalmente, use mi nueva pluma de gel blanca de Sakura, para el brillo en el ojo de pájaro, en su plumaje y patas. Si bien no es una pintura realista, y el fondo me dió algunos problemas, me parece que es un resultado más aceptable, en comparación con mi pintura anterior. ¿Ustedes que opinan? Para mi próximo post, intentaré otro dibujo digital. ¡Estoy abierta a sugerencias! aves, animales peludos, paisajes, flores, plantas...
