When I got out of the house, ready to enter the car and drive to the supermarket, my attention got immediately caught by the magnificent scene above the rooftops of my neighborhood.
Starlings were swarming around the church tower of St. Agnes, the biggest church in town. I couldn't get close to the birds and while the zoom of my camera is pretty powerful for that type of camera, I was still a bit too far for a good portrait of a single bird or a small group of them. From a distance, the flock looked much better in motion, so I decided to use the video option here.
I took that footage and made the following video out of it. Have a good viewing.
A quick look at the starlings swarming around the church tower early in the morning. I was standing in my yard. A few more words about all that can be read in the post on Hive, which includes a few more photographs as well.

The starlings can be more numerous in autumn, and their swarms more spectacular, but in combination with the gloomy, foreboding sky, this flock didn't look too bad either. Furthermore, it seems that birds and architecture go very well together visually.
And that's it. I observed the starlings for five or then minutes only, so the post can't be long. Soon I was on my way to the supermarket at the edge of town.
AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS AND THE VIDEO ARE MY WORK. THE MUSIC IN THE VIDEO, HOWEVER, IS SOME COOL FREE-TO-USE STUFF FOUND ON PIXABAY.
