Hi folks,
It's been a long time since I entered the weekly #SMaP contest and in fact this is my second participation in the contest.
I enjoyed my holidays in O Grove (Galicia) and during my holidays my best friend and I booked a catamaran trip on the Arousa estuary where we enjoyed sailing among mussel beds accompanied by numerous seagulls.
The seagulls are very intelligent birds, and most of them are already familiar with the catamarans in the area and know that we tourists are inside them, eating steamed mussels inside.
During the trip, the various tourists, each of us with our own source of mussels for lunch, were in turn feeding the seagulls by throwing some mussels into the air, to which the seagulls responded by pirouetting to get their prize so that other seagulls would not take it.
Taking pictures of the seagulls when the catamaran is moving and the seagulls are changing trajectory to get the best shot was proving to be a complicated task and as you can see the framing was not very good.
However, the ingenuity of my friend Eduardo was the key to get the photographs below.
With two mussel shells he constructed a clamp with which to grab the meat of a mussel at its tip and placed it high up while I took a video with my mobile phone, without taking even half a second to catch the attention of one of the seagulls.
Without hesitation, the seagull swooped towards the mussel we were offering it, so that by selecting the right frame, I managed to get one of the most beautiful photographs of my holidays, in which this great seagull captured the mussel we were offering it. This photograph was my participation in the competition.

The excursion along the Arousa estuary continued and we were tasting other seafood products such as oysters in vinaigrette and rice dishes with seafood. But these dishes are no longer feeding the beloved seagulls.
Cheers to all.
