Hello everyone ! I would like to share with you a method to raise small chicks š I was very impressed when I went to visit relatives and witnessed a newly hatched chick from a white leghorn egg, it was very exciting because I had never seen such a small chick ..The conditions that my relatives had created for him to hatch were a suitable temperature, a box and an egg that was freshly laid.
They explained to me that the temperature that must be maintained around the clock in the box must not be below 35Ā°Š” and above 43Ā°Š”, which was achieved with a 75 watt light bulb, but this turned out to be a mistake, because of the 4 eggs initially laid, only one hatched one chick, the assumption was that it wasn't warm enough, so the bulb was then replaced with a 100 watt one.
In the box were placed a set of bowls - water, sand, a broken boiled egg and a yoke of wheat. The interesting thing for me was why sand ?? It was because the grains of sand entered the gall bladder and aided digestion.
And because one little chick shouldn't be alone, my relatives bought him 5 other newly hatched companions, there was a great bird noise.. the new chicks were maybe a few days older, and our chick, which we already named Aya, was shocked..but literally in one day they got used to each other and became a team, they hugged each other to keep warm, they slept together, they were awake only together..
Some finely chopped alfalfa was added to the food products āļø
So, after a few weeks, these fluffy cuties, already grown and stronger, can go outside and pick grass while walking freely in the yard.
I don't know in detail the psychology of feathered friends, but it's so nice to watch them and listen to their gentle voices, whether they are the chickens or some other birds.
