Hello friends of Hive and Feathered Friends, I wanted to share with you the evolution of the small roof canary "Sicalis flaveola", and the newest member of the birds that visit my window and my kitchen, in previous days I shared with you about this little one in this post and I mentioned that this little fellow had arrived very young, having already lost his fear of me and us at home who feed him, as if his parents had made him understand that he should not fear us from very early on.

Hola amigos de Hive y Feathered Friends, he querido compartir con ustedes la evolución del pequeño canario de tejado “Sicalis flaveola”, y más nuevo miembro de los pájaros que visitan mi ventana y mi cocina, en días anteriores compartí con ustedes acerca de este pequeño en este post y les mencionaba que este pequeño había llegado muy pichón ya habiendo perdido el miedo hacia mí y quienes le colocamos comida, como que sus padres le hubieran hecho entender que no debía temernos desde muy temprano.

The little one has already begun to come alone and to eat entirely on his own, he still asks his canary parents to feed him when he sees them, but his parents refuse to feed him and move him away when he does, so this little one whom I have decided to call "Pichi" just for fun and because it is such a beautiful experience to see him grow allowing us to get so close to him without him being afraid of us, it is still a huge privilege, especially if you are a lover of nature and birds.

El pequeño ya ha comenzado a venir solo y a comer enteramente por su cuenta, aun pide a sus padres canarios que le alimenten cuando los ve, pero ya sus padres rechazan alimentarlo y le alejan cuando lo hace, así que este pequeño al que he decidido llamar “Pichi” solamente por diversión y por ser una experiencia tan bonita la de verlo crecer y que nos permita acercarnos tanto a el sin que nos tenga miedo alguno sigue siendo un privilegio enorme, sobre todo si eres un amante de la naturaleza y de las aves.

Little by little this little bird will gain its yellow color that characterizes roof canaries, and it is exciting to see how from the beginning this buddy gets used to being close to us as being free, and how it allows us to share his space for a few minutes every day.

Poco a poco este pequeño irá ganando su color amarillo que les caracteriza a los canarios de tejado, y es emocionante ver como desde su inicio esta pequeña ave se acostumbra a estar cerca de nosotros siendo libre, y como nos permite compartir su espacio durante unos minutos cada día.
