I'll give you a little "behind the scene" of the birds. As we try to make life in our living room as nice as possible for Bird1 and Bird2 (Milo and Mila), we always give them home-made vegetables.
We always prepare these in the kitchen and when they see the greens, they want to eat them all at once.
However, we have also found that after a while they just want to nibble it up for fun.
They are a great help to my wife with the preparation. They take over the supervision and will say what they like and what they don't like.
They get a small bowl of vegetables every day, with cucumber, lentils and greens in it.
They usually always pick out the lentil
They also get a few grains in the morning and evening. So far they have maintained their weight excellently. Definitely better than me
