Hello everyone,
This seems to be my first time making a post in this community. While looking at the posts of the people I follow, I was intrigued by them and visited this community. As all the posts I've seen are birds, most of which I haven't even seen, it made me think of a picture of an eastern reef egret (Egretta sacra) that I found a few days ago.
I didn't know what kind of bird it was at first, so after taking the picture, I asked my friend @fnonee who is a birdwatcher about the species. She also said that in Indonesia this bird is known as Kuntul Karang.
The image above is the only close-up I managed to get, as the moment I tried to close again, the bird quickly flew off to another spot. The other image I managed to capture of this bird was of it flying low over a body of water.
As soon as this picture was taken, the bird disappeared from my sight. Anyway, this picture was taken around the city of Banda Aceh, Indonesia. This location is surrounded by mangrove trees that have begun to rise high and on several occasions, other types of egrets are also often seen perched on these trees.
That's all for my short story about this Eastern Reef Egret. I hope you liked it and I look forward to your comments on this post. Thank you and I will see you next time.
