I captured it in the morning from my room. This is rose-breasted grosbeak. I give scientific details below about birds:
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Aves
Order: Passeriformes
Family: Cardinalidae
Genus: Pheucticus
Species: P. ludovicianus
About the bird: The rose-breasted grosbeak, colloquially called "cut-throat" due to its coloration, is a large, seed-eating grosbeak in the cardinal family. It is primarily a foliage gleaner. Males have blackheads, wings, backs, and tails, and a bright rose colored patch on their white breast.
More info: Adult males are black-and-white birds with a brilliant red chevron extending from the black throat down the middle of the breast. Females and immatures are brown and heavily streaked, with a bold whitish stripe over the eye. Males flash pink-red under the wings; females flash yellowish.
