Watching this hawk soar high above was hard to capture. I was fortunate enough to have my longest zoom lens with me; even with that, I still had to crop these images in quite a bit to see the bird more closely.
It kept circling, which also helped me keep track of it, and being so high up actually helped in that regard because I didn't have to move as much to follow along. I was able to watch for several minutes. I hoped that it would land somewhere close by, as there were plenty of tall trees around, but it really just kept soaring through the sky before eventually vanishing out of sight.
