🦉 The long-tailed tit or long-tailed bushtit (Aegithalos caudatus)

These incredibly cute and charming birds are the true embodiment of friendship. They are unusually social with each other, as well as with other bird species.
Birds have a clear hierarchy, which depends on various criteria, if I understand correctly, one of these criteria is social significance.
What does it mean. For example, mutual assistance. If a pair of birds decides to have a second clutch, a second litter of offspring, then their older children help the parents hatch and feed them. Couples who, for whatever reason, are left without their offspring can also be helped.
What does it give? For the night, the birds settle down on a long branch; they nestle tightly to each other so as not to freeze. And the higher the social rating, the closer to the middle the bird is located, and at the edges are those who are lower in the hierarchy, and accordingly it is colder there.
