🦉 The black-headed gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus)

  • Chroicocephalus Greek: khroizō to paint, kephalē head
  • ridibundus lat .: ridēre laugh, ridibundus laughing

In my city, these birds are not often found; in small quantities they can be found on the river that flows along the city.

The neighboring steppe region is another matter. There, these birds fly over flooded meadows, where they successfully fish. there are a lot of them.
And also these birds feel good right in the city next to the meadows and steppes.

They just fly around the city, visit garbage cans, sit on the roofs of houses. This always surprises me.
I took this photo above on my phone when I saw how this seagull robbed a pigeon and took a piece of cookie from it.

Handsome looking seagull with his black head, they tend to scavenge no matter where seagulls live in the world.

They're all good but I'm more interested in this one
