🦉 The common whitethroat or greater whitethroat (Curruca communis)

  • Curruca is an unidentified bird name mentioned in the poems of the ancient Roman poet Juvenal
  • communis (lat.) ordinary, common.

This bird arrives at the end of April or beginning of May, depending on the weather. Every year I meet them in a clearing near the forest. There are bushes growing there where the bird lives. However, the bird can also live directly in the forest, but on the lower tiers, in the bushes, and also in the branches of fallen trees.

I photographed that particular bird in a meadow where bushes grow.
The male, seeing that I was approaching, began to worry and jump from branch to branch, grumbling discontentedly. Therefore, I had to step back a little and he continued singing the song.
