🦉 The Siberian rubythroat (Calliope calliope)
- Calliope (ancient Greek mythology) Calliope - the eldest of the muses, the goddess of chants, the muse of epic poetry
These graceful beautiful nightingales are few in number and are rarely encountered in the forests of my city. I do not know when they arrive, but most often I encounter them at the end of June.
I met this male in a deep forest. By the way, this is one of their distinctive features among nightingales. When almost all nightingales prefer either open places or light places near open space, this species can be found in a deep forest. The most important thing is that there are bushes where these birds live.
