π¦ The common redpoll or mealy redpoll (Acanthis flammea)
π Acanthis in ancient Greek. mythology daughter of Autonous and sister Acanthus; when Acanthis sobbed over the murdered Acanthus, the gods turned her into a bird.
π flammea lat.: flamma flame, fire, fiery color flammeus
So funny. Sometimes I walk through the forest in winter, and I donβt hear a single birdβs voice. But as soon as I turn on the voices of these birds on the speaker, as literally from nowhere, 2-3 of these birds fly to the voice. These birds roam in large flocks in winter. They sit on the tops of the birch to enjoy its seeds. They can also go down to the lower tier or inspect fields with wormwood and thistles.
And once I was walking past a fallen tree and heard a rustle inside it. I thought that it was a mouse that got in there, but after a few seconds, a redpoll crawled out of it, this is she in the 2nd and 3rd photos.
