Hello my dear friends!
I am always skeptical about attempts to attribute certain properties to birds or animals. I am sure that they are all different, just like people: someone is smarter, someone is dumber, someone is kinder, someone is angrier, and so on. But today I was very loud and unequivocally expressed the widely held opinion about the not very high intellectual abilities of ducks.
I was sitting at my computer and working when I heard screams and flapping wings. My window looks directly into the aviary. I looked outside and went cold. In a fraction of a second, I already jumped out of the house and ran into the aviary.
Mother Duck couldn't think of anything better than to bring all the ducklings to the aviary where the seagulls live! To do this, she was not too lazy to move the board with which I blocked the passage!
Fortunately, the seagulls were paralyzed for some time from the happiness that fell on them: the food itself went into their beaks! Here, probably, the mind returned to the Mother Duck and she began to protect her ducklings. These are the sounds I heard.
Fortunately, mother duck was able to withstand the defense before my arrival and not a single duckling was hurt.
The ducklings even understood the danger they were in.
Most of all, I was outraged by the behavior of the father of this duck family. He just watched what was happening without trying to protect the duck and ducklings.
