The Dawn of Compact Wireless Keyboards

in #hive-1068172 years ago

I just love Logitech K380 Keyboard.

Did you know that keyboard never sleeps because they have two shifts?

Forgive me for that corny joke. But hey guys, this is my first time posting on this community not that you guys care lol. I just think this is a perfect opportunity for me to share my gadget reviews and computer stuff however mundane some of it are lol. Anyway, a Hive post is a Hive post right? Thanks for the generous upvotes. :P

Compact wireless keyboards are in! I think this model of keyboard from this particular brand has been out since 2015. So yeah, I guess I'm too late to the party. But thank goodness some things have just gotten cheaper as more and more newer models become available in the market. As more and more waste get piled up and thrown somewhere too. And thank goodness I can afford stuff now lol.

As a cave dweller who works from home and is in front of screen day and night (Yasss I have no life), computer accessories have become so important to me. Because how else am I gonna spend my hard-earned corporate money? I need to have the right stuff these days. More material stuff to make up for the emptiness of it all lol. Basically what I'm saying is that I wouldn't mind spending a bit extra just to make my working life a bit comfortable. A bit bearable. And well of course, anything to make myself happy. So go buy buy buy!

I bought this keyboard from this online marketplace/shopping app and I thought $30 was a good deal. I'm sure there are way cheaper China keyboards out there but hey I need something that lasts for chrissakes. Unless of course there's "Planned Obsolescence" here he he he. I am not that rich enough to replace stuff again and again. But let's see in a year or two. Let's see if I'm rich enough to replace stuff and contribute to even more global waste.

Excuse the dusts and possibly cat furs in there lol.

Now why do I love this keyboard?

Tiny keyboards take getting used to. For the first time in my life, I have a separate keyboard that does not require my hands to cover the whole thing while typing. Bulgy and scandalous keys no more. Ugliness no more. This thing is very compact and light, it feels like a detached laptop keyboard. Logitech K380 is so easy to type on and it feels so smooth that I look forward to typing everyday. I chose the gray matte design because it looks classy and expensive. The circle-shaped keys are cute too!

The best thing about this Bluetooth keyboard is that you can easily switch to different devices. I'll just press yellow #1 for my laptop, #2 for my other laptop and #3 for my tablet. You can even connect your smartphone. And this auto connects as I power on my laptop. How cool and convenient is this easy-switch functionality?

I've yet to replace the AAA batteries but I've read that the power can last up to 2 years with heavy use (if you're a consistent troll or a keyboard warrior it might be less than that). Anyway, longevity is just what I need. I'll try to make it last tho. I guess it's time to kick the habit of eating my keyboard eating over my keyboard.

So that's about it for my Logitech K380 keyboard. I'm gonna post more not-so-serious gadget reviews soon. Thanks y'all!

Connecting to the phone would be sweet. There are few things more frustrating than typing a message with a phone.
Those circular keys really are cute:)

I love it. It is so easy to use! :)

Can confirm that phones are much more bearable with a wireless mouse, keyboard and dock. I got my latest phone, a Samsung, because I can also plug into a display and have a desktop-like experience.

I have one, just forgot about it. I used to use it when travelling but since I've had my OPPO I find it pretty easy to draft in Peakd on my phone .. though next time I travel I think I'll take it, thanks for reminder. It feels really nice to use.

OMG I laughed hard at the joke. 😂
How does it sound like when you type? Does it make a very loud noise?
I have a bluetooth keyboard too but I am not using it anymore.
I don't know why though, I just probably got tired using it..?
But I've always seen a lot of Logitech keyboards out there and I've always wanted to buy one. So I didn't buy it because here in where I live, it's not using the global keyboard like yours. ☹️

It's a silent type keyboard hehe.

So I didn't buy it because here in where I live, it's not using the global keyboard like yours.

That makes sense!

Thanks for the comment! :)

Oh nice, I’m worried about the noise so it’s good it’s the silent type.

😊

Very good keyboard, comfortable to work with due to its light weight and small size, but I want to ask you a question. Does this Wireless Keyboard affect your Wi-Fi signal?

Does this Wireless Keyboard affect your Wi-Fi signal?
I don't think so!

@diabolika A couple of years ago, I had a wireless keyboard + mouse combo where sometimes the wifi signal was blocked and disconnected!

Ohhh Okay that sucks! I haven't experienced that yet.. hopefully I won't! :)

Wow, you've given me a lesson on that keyboard. It is a wonder according to accounts, look at pressing a key and changing devices. Take good care of it, I think it's too cool. Greetings.

Thanks! :)

One of my wireless keyboard is also logitech. I can tell you as much that the battery doesn't last that long. As far as I remember, it's only less than a year since I got them and I have already switched the battery with a new one. The same thing with the mouse that came with the battery. What I like about their keyboard is the comfort while typing, no delays, and the design. I wonder how small that is since I am looking for a keyboard that would fit a small backpack. Mine is quite too big and I kinda wish it to be a tad smaller.

Ahhh let me see with this thing after a year.

It is 279 mm x 124 mm x 16 mm.

I just looked at the specifications lol.
