Hello awesome people, so, you won't believe what I found at home while we were doing some renovations and cleanup, the vinyl record player... according to my dad, it was one of the top musical devices anyone can own back in the days. This stuff looks so ancient and I'm not even kidding, it's like going back in time and seeing what was used so many years ago. I'm so happy to see and get to feel the vinyl record player as it is the kind of things we see at the museum.
Because I already knew, read a lot of articles and watched a lot of videos about the vinyl record player when I used to research the history of some musical devices and equipment, I wasn't really like "what's even this device" kinda reaction, my reaction was more like "wow, so this is really the vinyl record player. Maybe because I'm so much into retro devices and ancient tech.
In my opinion, the Vinyl Record Player is one of the best musical inventions if not the best because it was one of the tools that allowed people to listen to the amazing music works of extremely talented musicians.
Looking at the device, all I can say that it is magical and an amazing piece. I wasn't privileged to be a user of the Vinyl record player, but I've read a lot of articles and watched a lot of videos about it to really understand how it works and how amazing it was back in the days... yes! it is still amazing even till this day.
The Vinyl record player I found at home bought by my dad in the early 90s I guess was made by Sony and its frame and internal housing is made using high quality wood material.. I guess, it was a lot easier to work with wood back then... now, almost everything is made from metal or aluminum.
One of the things I find fascinating about the Vinyl record player is the record disc which looks like a giant version of the compact disc that was very popular some years ago... but this one isn't just an enlarged compact disc, it has it's own interesting technology behind it and how it worked.
It is a big circular disc that spins around when placed on the circular plate of the vinyl player, and you put the pin-like thingy on it when the disc is spinning. The magical thing that happens is, once the pin is placed on the spinning disc, music starts playing... It actually works!
When you compare the sound quality to what we have today, it is not as crisp but it is still very good and there something about the sound that makes it special according to people that were fortunate to own the device.
One of the reasons why people love it so much is that there's this emotional connection you have with it when you own one because the whole process of playing your favorite song on the vinyl record player is pretty involved... You will have to go to the shelf where you store all the amazing records you own, choose the one you want to listen to, pick it out, remove it from the pack, place it on the vinyl player, switch on the player, place the pin on the spinning disc and start enjoying the awesomeness of music and the music artist.
To prove how awesome the vinyl record player is, a lot of people are still buying the device till today as collectors or just to experience the nostalgic awesomeness of the device. It is no longer in production but people who own them can sell them to people who want them.
