I stopped my post by asking the question whether S would be able to join us on our trip. So, I hope you keep on reading to discover the next thing that happened during our get-together combined with travel. This post was full of "We thought'.
Before we decided to travel, we had a group conversation in our group chat and we asked if S was in our hometown because she is residing in Cebu City for the year 2024. She answered that she was still in Cebu City and they planned to travel and celebrate the New Year in their hometown Tabogon on December 26 which was the scheduled trip too.
We planned to pick her up if we reached Cebu City which was not a clear plan because my husband and I already visited their place last December 2023 and I was confident that I could still remember their place. The plan was to pick them up in a surprise because she already told us that she was not feeling well at that time and she was not sure that she could join the trip.
So, when we arrived in Cebu City, we went directly to Labangon where S lived. I thought I was confident that I knew their house but I forgot. Hahaha, my husband thought that the small street was where S was placed, and I together with A and R decided to explore the area. I told them that the S place gate was color green, and the funny thing was we roamed the place looking for a green gate and finally, I told them that we were in the wrong place.
To make use of the time, we decided to call S in the messenger app and unfortunately, she was not online, so we opted to contact her husband. We thought that her husband was at work and it would be difficult to follow up with S but we thought wrong, when we contacted his husband, S immediately went online. We wondered why she was online after we contacted her husband and she told us that her husband was not yet on duty.
When she answered, we asked where was her place in Labangon, Cebu City another funny thing was she had already gone to Tabogon traveled back late evening, and arrived at Tabogon early morning.
We just laughed because we thought that she was at Labangon. The answer to the question is no, S was not able to join our trip last December 26, 2024.
