Hello to all my friends of Family & Friends. Today I come to share a very nice experience I've had these days and I owe it to Hive. I found no better place to share it than here in this community. I've been here for a year, in Hive and it was a very good decision to join this great family, for many reasons, but I will focus on friendship, because all are positive balances, but the affective one is one of the most valuable for me. On this platform I have found irrefutable proof of its existence, so here I tell you about it.
At the beginning of May, I won a prize awarded by the @jewelry community as a finalist in a contest for their anniversary. The prizes were sent by mail, an almost non-existent and very expensive service in my country, Cuba. However, this platform has created very nice and close bonds of friendship, and one of my favorite hiveramigos reached out to me. I am referring to @chacald.dcymt, a spectacular Venezuelan who has taught me a lot to walk on this platform and to take solid steps always looking to the future, in a selfless way.
Hola a todos mis amigos de Family & Friends. Hoy vengo a compartir una experiencia muy bonita que he tenido en estos días y se la debo a Hive. No encontré mejor lugar para compartirla que aquí en esta comunidad. Hace un año que estoy aquí, en Hive y fue una muy buena decisión unirme a esta gran familia, por muchos motivos, pero me voy a centrar en la amistad, porque todos son saldos positivos, pero el afectivo es uno de los más valiosos para mí. En esta plataforma he encontrado una prueba irrefutable de su existencia, así que aquí se la cuento.
A principios de mayo, gané un premio que otorgó la comunidad @jewelry como finalista de un concurso con motivo de su aniversario. Los premios fueron enviados por correo, un servicio casi inexistente y muy costoso en mi país, Cuba. Sin embargo, esta plataforma ha creado lazos de amistad muy bonitos y estrechos, y uno de mis hiveramigos favoritos me tendió la mano. Me refiero a @chacald.dcymt, una venezolana espectacular que me ha enseñado mucho a caminar en esta plataforma y a dar pasos sólidos siempre mirando al futuro, de forma desinteresada.
My friend told me that her husband, who is Cuban and is on a collaboration mission in Venezuela, had a vacation scheduled for the end of May. I contacted @yolimarag and explained the situation. My prize was sent to Táchira, where my friend lives. Since resources are scarce here in my country and it's hard for me to make the crafts I love so much, this friend gave me the opportunity to buy a series of materials that are not available here, such as foami, frosting, paints, stencils, etc. Hive was once again the nexus of union and help in this situation, since through a simple wallet transfer I was able to acquire a series of materials without intermediaries that charge unattainable prices.
However, getting all these items to my hands was not an easy task, because at first we thought that Diana's husband (@chacald.dcymt) would travel to Havana and from there to his province, Camagüey. As I am from the capital, we thought that as soon as he arrived we would contact him and he would make the long-awaited delivery. But everything was far from reality: Osmel's flight, that's the name of Diana's husband, was going straight to Camagüey, many kilometers away from Havana. Luckily, I have a co-worker who is a native of that province and happened to be going to visit her family. At that moment, we got in touch with Osmel to explain that through her he would send me the prize and the long-awaited materials. So 15 long days of waiting passed and yesterday I received the long awaited package.
Mi amiga, me comentó que su esposo, que es cubano y está en misión de colaboración en Venezuela, tenía unas vacaciones programadas para finales de mayo. Me puse en contacto con @yolimarag y le expliqué la situación. Mi premio fue enviado a Táchira, donde vive mi amiga. Como aquí en mi país escasean los recursos y me cuesta hacer las manualidades que tanto me gustan, esta amiga me dio la oportunidad de comprar una serie de materiales que aquí no se consiguen, como foami, escarcha, pinturas, plantillas, etc. Hive fue una vez más el nexo de unión y ayuda en esta situación, ya que a través de una simple transferencia de billeteras pude adquirir una serie de materiales sin intermediarios que cobran precios inalcanzables.
Sin embargo, hacer llegar todos estos artículos a mis manos no fue tarea fácil, pues en un principio pensamos que el esposo de Diana (@chacald.dcymt) viajaría a La Habana y de allí a su provincia, Camagüey. Como soy de la capital, pensamos que en cuanto llegara nos pondríamos en contacto con él y haría la tan esperada entrega. Pero todo estaba lejos de la realidad: El vuelo de Osmel, que así se llama el esposo de Diana, iba directo a Camagüey, a muchos kilómetros de La Habana. Por suerte, tengo una compañera de trabajo que es oriunda de esa provincia y casualmente iba a visitar a su familia. En ese momento, nos pusimos en contacto con Osmel para explicarle que a través de ella me enviaría el premio y los materiales tan esperados. Así pasaron 15 largos días de espera y ayer recibí el ansiado paquete.
I feel very happy for everything, for having had special friends, for receiving my long awaited prize and the work materials. As soon as I received everything, I phoned Osmel (who made a great effort to get the package to me) and Diana, to thank them and to check that everything had arrived at its destination. Oh, I forgot a detail: in the package, this friend who has art in her hands sent me some beautiful earrings made by herself. They are super beautiful, made especially for me. It has been a great experience and I am infinitely grateful to Hive and my friends for making something happen that otherwise would be impossible.

Me siento muy feliz por todo, por haber tenido amigos especiales, por recibir mi tan esperado premio y los materiales de trabajo. En cuanto recibí todo llamé por teléfono a Osmel (que hizo un gran esfuerzo para que me llegara el paquete) y a Diana, para darles las gracias y comprobar que todo había llegado a su destino. Ah, se me olvidaba un detalle: en el paquete, esta amiga que tiene arte en sus manos me envió unos pendientes preciosos hechos por ella misma. Son súper bonitos, hechos especialmente para mí. Ha sido una gran experiencia y estoy infinitamente agradecida a Hive y a mis amigos por hacer realidad algo que, en otras condiciones, sería imposible.
