Hello, how are you? It's been a long time since I've posted something in this community but I think it's time because I want to share with you a nice experience that my family and I had yesterday. It's been a long time since we got together to spend a nice moment and for that reason we wanted to celebrate the birthday of one of my cousins in a park in the city, surrounded by nature but above all by family warmth.
Hola ¿Cómo están? hace mucho tiempo que yo no publico algo en esta comunidad pero creo que llegó el momento porque quiero compartir con ustedes una bonita experiencia que tuvimos ayer mi familia y yo. Y es que hace mucho tiempo que no nos reuníamos para pasar un momento grato y por esa razón quisimos celebrar el cumpleaños de una de mis primas en un parque de la ciudad, rodeados de naturaleza pero sobre todo del calor familiar.
There were only a few of us as a couple of cousins didn't go and some of the aunts didn't go either because they were doing some other business, but we still had a great time. We settled in one of these places which is equipped with running water and plenty of space to put food or whatever you bring.
Éramos pocas personas ya que faltaron un par de primos y algunas de las tías que estaban haciendo algunas diligencias, pero aún la pasamos muy bien. Nos instalamos en uno de estos lugares que está dotado de agua corriente y mucho espacio para colocar comida o cualquier cosa que lleves.
I was happy to be reunited with my cousins because even though we live in the same city we hadn't seen each other for a long time because we were all so wrapped up in our respective jobs and affairs, but it was nice to see each other again to tell anecdotes, remember old times and laugh at the children's (children of one of my cousins) witticisms.
Yo estaba feliz de reunirme con mis primas porque a pesar de que vivimos en la misma ciudad no nos veíamos desde hace mucho tiempo debido a que todos estábamos muy enfrascados en nuestros respectivos trabajos y asuntos, pero fue lindo vernos de nuevo para contar anécdotas, recordar viejos tiempos y reírnos de las ocurrencias de los niños (hijos de una de mis primas)
Then I went with my parents to explore the park a bit because we really hadn't been there for years. We were pleased to see that it is even more beautiful than we remembered it, the green areas are quite well kept. It's nice to escape from the routine once in a while to breathe some fresh air.
Luego fui con mis padres a explorar un poco el parque porque de verdad teníamos años sin ir allí. Nos complació ver que está más hermoso aún de como lo recordábamos, las zonas verdes están bastante cuidadas. Es grato escapar de la rutina de vez en cuando para respirar aire fresco
There are many beautiful places and my mum wanted to take pictures in every place, so we had a little photo session. There was a huge tree with a very thick trunk that caught my attention, it was beautiful, a big green lung, I love it, these trees bring a lot of freshness, that's why the temperature was perfect there.
Hay muchos lugares hermosos y mi mamá quería tomarse fotografías en cada lugar, así que tuvimos una pequeña sesión de fotos. Había un árbol enorme de tronco muy grueso que llamó mi atención, era precioso, un gran pulmón vegetal, me encanta, estos árboles aportan mucha frescura, por eso la temperatura era perfecta allí.
Then we decided to go back to the others to continue talking, so it was time to cut the cake while we sang my cousin's birthday. We have always joked with her that we should also sing the national anthem because her birthday is on 24 June, an important date for my country because it was the date of the battle that gave the country its independence.
Luego decidimos regresar con los demás para seguir conversando, así que llegó el momento de cortar la torta mientras cantábamos el cumpleaños a mi prima. Siempre hemos bromeado con ella diciéndole que además deberíamos cantar el himno nacional porque su cumpleaños es el 24 de junio, una fecha importante para mi país porque fue la fecha de la batalla que otorgó la independencia al país.
These are very pleasant moments that help reconnect the family, strengthen bonds and create fond memories. Family gatherings, even if they are not so frequent, help us to relax because we get out of the routine by doing different activities.
Estos son momentos muy agradables que ayudan a reconectar a la familia, a reforzar los lazos afectivos y a crear gratos recuerdos, las reuniones familiares, aunque no sean tan a menudo, nos ayudan a relajarnos porque salimos de la rutina al hacer actividades diferentes.
