Today whould like to share with you my thoughts and discoveries about Family.
Family is a small but very significant unit of society, where new participants of future social interaction are formed and mature.
The level and quality of this interaction depend on the depth and quality of relationships within the family. The development of society is not an end in itself but a guarantee of comfortable existence for our children within it.
Teaching the next generation in the rapidly changing modern world, to make it easier for them to find themselves, is an important, but rather secondary question.
It is more important to help them grow emotionally happy, harmonious, and confident personalities.
The foundation of this is the atmosphere and relationships within the family during the child's first years of life.
The presence of a caring mother and a reliable father in a child's life forms trust in the world and confidence in themselves.
Where there is trust, there is no fear, and therefore, there is a lively interest.
Where there is confidence, there is an ability to overcome obstacles, even if not immediately.
"Do not educate your children, they will copy you anyway. Educate yourself."
These words are attributed to Lev Tolstoy, and they hold great wisdom.
If a child rarely sees a book in the hands of their parents or people around them, they will find it difficult to understand the value of reading.
If a parent often loses their temper at the slightest failures, the child will learn this behavior from an early age.
This is because the younger the child, the less conscious their development is. Mimicry dominates - unconditional imitation of a caring adult.
It is important to understand, that being an example means living as an example, not just occasionally demonstrating good behavior.
Children can sense insincerity, which is much more destructive in relationships, than the relative imperfection of parents.
As a mother of two daughters, I can say that upbringing is an extremely difficult and responsible job, pimary on myself.
And this job is rewarded a thousandfold!
Unconditional parental love and the ability to calmly go through all the difficulties and disappointments with your child, are what will lay the foundation for the future ability to overcome life's challenges as an adult.
This is not a paradox! "You learn to swim in the water" is not about throwing a child overboard a boat!
It is about providing space for learning. And constant caring presence in difficult situations for the child (even if it's just buttons) and assistance if needed - this creates a cushion of confidence. If you will, a deposit of confidence.
Having such a cushion, one can confidently embark on an emotional journey through life.
