Hoy muy emocionada, con mucho orgullo y satisfacción, en atención a la iniciativa denominada Mujeres Perfectas, propuesta por la comunidad Family & Friends, con motivo de la celebración del Día Internacional de la Mujer, participo con este post, por medio del cual, quiero rendir un sentido homenaje a Carmen Cecilia Gavidia de Orsini, conocida en el medio artístico como Malú del Carmen y Malú a seca por todos sus familiares, amigos y allegados.
Malú del Carmen, (1924-2018), madre de mi esposo @ylich y de mi cuñada @helyorsini, proveniente de un hogar humilde, supo forjarse por su propia cuenta y abrirse camino como actriz, en una época en que las mujeres tenían muchas limitaciones para salir adelante en el mundo laboral. Su vida profesional se inició como actriz de novelas de radio, en la emisora La Voz de la Patria, una antigua emisora que antes funcionaba en Caracas.
En esos andares conoció a quien llegó a ser su esposo de toda la vida, Humberto Orsini y junto a él y otras personas, entre las cuales figuraba César Rengifo, fundaron el afamado grupo de teatro Máscaras. Con el cual montaron muchas obras de teatro que fueron presentadas en varias ciudades de nuestro país, Venezuela. Posteriormente, el grupo se disolvió y ella continuó su vida profesional como actriz de teatro, radio y televisión de manera independiente.
Para el momento que la conocí, ella ya no ejercía su profesión de actriz, su última participación en la televisión había sido en la famosa novela venezolana, que rompió récord de sintonía nacional, llamada Por estas calles, donde hizo el papel de mamá del protagonista de la novela, llamado Eudomar Santos, personaje interpretado por el conocido actor Franklin Virgüez.
Malú del Carmen era una mujer muy divertida, siempre estaba sonreída y era dueña de una inimitable carcajada. A ella le gustaba cantar, bailar, leer y cocinar. La mayoría del tiempo estaba en su cocina, siempre tenía algo que brindar y ese lugar era ideal para sus tertulias familiares. Allí mismo también tenía un radio, donde solía escuchar sus programas favoritos y sobre todo oír música, con la que solía cantar y bailar mientras cocinaba. Porque se me olvidaba decirles que cuando joven también incursionó en el canto.
Para la época en que la conocí, hace aproximadamente unos 28 años, ella tenía unas perritas que adoraba cuyos nombres eran: Ella, por la Fitzgerald; Bessie, por la Smith y Yanis, por la Joplin. Todos nombres de estas famosas cantantes de jazz. Las tres perritas eran la luz de los ojos de Malú, ella se desvivía por cuidarlas.
También tenía dos inmensas morrocoyas que contradictoriamente ella llamaba las cuchitas y digo contradictoria porque eran tan enormes que impresionaban. Malú las trataba como si fueran unas niñas, era muy gracioso ver como las tenía, pues las cuchitas hasta cobijas usaban para dormir.
Entre otras cosas que le gustaban, también estaba su gran afición hacia las muñecas, poseía una inmensa colección de muñecas de todas partes de mundo y también tenía algunas de juguete. Una de ellas se llamaba Rosita, Malú la adoraba porque además era un recuerdo de un regalo que le había hecho su mejor amiga, hacía muchísimo tiempo.
En cuanto al tema de las muñecas, recientemente hice una publicación, acerca de esta colección titulada Las muñecas de Malú, y posteriormente comencé a desplegar una serie, con las piezas más emblemáticas, de las cuales ya he presentado a dos de ellas, que son el Capitán de Köpenick y el Sandmännchen
Por otra parte, también ella era amante de las flores, le encantaba tener jarrones llenos de flores y el hecho de que le regalaran arreglos y coloridos ramos, la emocionaba inmensamente y lo que más la conmovía era cuando Humberto, su esposo, era quien se las llevaba.
Desde un principio ella me cayó muy bien, era una persona cariñosa, sencilla y familiar, acostumbrada a recibir a mucha gente en su casa, por lo que era una excelente anfitriona y ama de casa. Pronto nos hicimos grandes amigas, teníamos muchas cosas en común, por lo que conversábamos por largas e interminables horas, al correr el tiempo llegó a ser una madre para mí.
Como abuela era divina, era la adoración de sus cuatro nietos, quienes disfrutaban mucho de las conversaciones, juegos, consejos y enseñanzas que ella les impartía.
Durante las vacaciones escolares, mis hijos siempre pasaban algunos días en la casa de sus abuelos y allí recibían clases de teatro, para las cuales su abuela Malú se encargaba de ponerlos a leer en voz alta, parlamentos de distintas obras de teatro, que ella seleccionaba especialmente para ellos. Durante toda esa época mis hijos aprendieron muchísimo y obtuvieron una excelente formación en ese ámbito.
Elegí rendir este homenaje a Malú del Carmen, porque la considero una gran mujer, una heroína, una gran profesional, una abnegada esposa y una madre ejemplar, a quien quise mucho y le agradezco inmensamente todo el amor y cariño que siempre me brindó.
Por todo ello, hoy me siento muy feliz de haber celebrado el Día Internacional de la Mujer 2023, con este sentido homenaje a mi suegra Malú del Carmen, siempre presente en los corazones de toda la familia.

Today I am very excited, proud and satisfied, in response to the initiative called Perfect Women, proposed by the Family & Friends community, on the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day, I participate with this post, through which I pay a heartfelt tribute to Carmen Cecilia Gavidia de Orsini, known in the artistic world as Malú del Carmen and just Malú for all her family, friends and relatives.
Malú del Carmen, (1924-2018), mother of my husband @ylich and my sister-in-law @helyorsini, coming from a humble home, knew how to forge on her own and make her way as an actress, in a time when women had many limitations to get ahead in the working world. Her professional life began as an actress in radio soap operas, in the radio station La Voz de la Patria, an old radio station that used to operate in Caracas.
During this time she met her lifelong husband, Humberto Orsini, and together with him and other people, including César Rengifo, they founded the famous theater group Máscaras. With which they staged many plays that were presented in several cities of our country, Venezuela. Later, the group dissolved and she continued her professional life as an actress in theater, radio and television.
By the time I met her, she was no longer working as an actress, her last participation in television had been in the famous Venezuelan soap opera, which broke national ratings records, called "Por estas calles", where she played the role of the mother of the protagonist of the soap opera called Eudomar Rojas, a character played by the well-known actor Franklin Virgüez.
Malú del Carmen was a very funny woman, she was always smiling and had an inimitable laugh. She liked to sing, dance, read and cook. Most of the time she was in her kitchen, she always had something to toast and the kitchen was the ideal place for her family gatherings. In her kitchen she also had a radio, where she used to listen to her favorite programs and above all listen to music, with which she used to sing and dance while she was cooking. Because I forgot to tell you that when she was young she also sang.
By the time I met her, about 28 years ago, she had some little dogs that she adored whose names were: Ella, after the Fitzgerald; Bessie, after the Smith and Yanis, after the Joplin. All names of these famous jazz singers. The three little dogs were the apple of Malú's eye, and she went out of her way to take care of them.
She also had two huge morrocoyes (Red-footed tortoises) that contradictorily she called the cuchitas and I say contradictory because they were so big that they were impressive. Malú treated them as if they were little girls, it was very funny to see how she had them, because the cuchitas even used blankets to sleep.
Among other things she liked, there was also her great fondness for dolls, she had a huge collection of dolls from all over the world and she also had some toy dolls, one of them was called Rosita, Malú loved it because it was also a souvenir of a gift that her best friend had given her, a long time ago.
On the subject of dolls, I recently made a publication about this collection entitled The Dolls of Malú, then I began to deploy a series, with the most emblematic pieces, of which I have already presented two of them, which are Captain Köpenick and Sandmännchen.
On the other hand, she was also a flower lover, she loved to have vases full of flowers and the fact that she was given arrangements and colorful bouquets, touched her immensely and what touched her the most was when Humberto her husband was the one who took them to her.
From the beginning I liked her very much, she was a loving, simple and familiar person. She was used to receive many people in her house, so she was an excellent hostess and housewife. We soon became great friends, we had many things in common, so we talked for long and endless hours, as time went by she became a mother to me.
As a grandmother she was divine, she was the adoration of her four grandchildren, who thoroughly enjoyed the conversations, games, advice and teachings she imparted to them.
During school vacations, my children always spent a few days at their grandparents' house and there they received theater classes, for which their grandmother Malú was in charge of having them read aloud some lines from different plays, which she selected especially for them. During all that time my children learned a lot and obtained an excellent formation in this field.
I chose to pay this tribute to Malú del Carmen, because I consider her a great woman, a heroine, a great professional, a devoted wife and an exemplary mother, whom I loved very much and I am immensely grateful for all the love and affection she always gave me.
For all of the above, today I am very happy to have celebrated International Women's Day 2023, with this heartfelt tribute to my mother-in-law Malú del Carmen. Always present in the hearts of the whole family.
