Hi Ho Hivers,
Another week without any Light Painting at all, apart from fixing and refurbishing a couple of old LP tools. It was good weather last weekend, so as I mentioned in my last post, I went out into the countryside with a friend and had a great time wild camping in our hammocks. The woodland was dense enough to have a small fire to boil water for coffee and also kept the insects away. I got over halfway to completing carving a bushcraft spoon, but my mate ran out of plasters and I can now confirm my camp knife is very sharp! #mora
A selection of shots from 2015 that were just simple abstract shapes. Most of these images were made using a bike wheel from a child's bike with a RGB LED strip attached around the circumference of the wheel. The wheel also has an extended spindle with a rubber stopper on the end which rests on the floor, leaving the wheel tilted at about 45 degrees. The lights are switched on then the wheel is gently pushed and rotates around the spindle which creates a dome shape during a long exposure photograph.

Crazy moments can sometimes! work 😐
LACE logo in flash box B&W
I was originally inspired to create the wheel and the logo flash box by LightPainter Nocturne (Chris Benbow) and his You Tube channel, where I learnt many of my early Light Painting techniques and tool making skills.
Thanks for your interest, I am enjoying looking back at my old images I hope have too and if it helps to add to a grand idea in your own creative mind, then that's a bonus.
