Today I was worrying over myriads of things that needed to get done. My children's caregiver went back to her hometown during the Christmas period thus it's just been me and my girls.
I was worried about things that I am yet to do and they include repainting my gas cylinder which I asked my friend to give me the contact number of the painter that helped her with her's but unfortunately she said she didn't have his number but promised to source it for me. My living room also need repainting to appeal to it's aesthetic look.
Why I became extra worried about them this morning was something i definitely cannot understand. I put a call across to my friend to remind her that she is yet to send me the number of the painter. She ofcourse apologised for not getting back to me sooner and expressed her fears that the painter must have travelled because she had not seen him for a while. She started giving me other suggestions on how I can find a painter who will do the work. I walked outside to throw a waste bag inside the bin and just then i saw this man standing near the water tank. By the way he was looking I knew that he was definitely working in my neighbor's house who just moved in.
Please are you a painter?.
He answered yes and well everything was immediately sorted out. I was marvelled at how my worries this morning was taken care of without me stepping out of the house. Nature have a way of making time and chance to work in our favour.
Why was i worried over painting the gas cylinder and my livingroom this morning?
What made me to decide to trash the waste just when the painter was outside?
This is to tell you how nature works and arrange things to work in our favour. The painter after showing him my living room that I want to paint told me that I can actually wash the dirty wall to make it sparkle again because the paint was satin paint. He told me that after washing it and it didn't come out nice as I want then I can repaint but I will have to buy another satin paint for good coverage. After he was done with my neighbor's work, he came over and helped me paint my cylinder for free.
After washing my wall, it came out pretty nice and it did look very clean. I was so relieved and wondered why it never crossed my mind to wash the walls. The paint that we used in our house when we packed in newly was Dulux satin paint and with the current inflation in the country a bucket of Dulux paint is around 150 thousand naira.
I was happy that what I was worrying about since last year was just sorted in a twinkle of an eye. This reminded me of a quote by Bob Marley
Don't worry about a thing, cause every little thing gonna be alright.
