Learning takes a huge toll on us, especially if we had to learn from a grave mistake. An experience gathered through intense suffering and pain. And to be fair, no one knows what it is like.
When you get sucked into that moment in life when everything just hurts and you are barely living. That moment, you had to watch your dreams crumble before your eyes, and you just stood there, speechless and unmoving, because nothing came to your mind at that moment.
If you haven't been in such a moment before, then maybe you have seen some scenes in a movie where someone just stands there while the whole world is running. They also want to run too, but the shock in their heart has been passed through the vein and towards the brain.
At that moment, you find yourself screaming at the character to run. You want them to survive, but at that moment, they can't hear anything. The world to them is like a vague memory rushing back in full force and blinding them to see.
And that's why Katelyn Tarver's music, "You don't know," hits differently.
This is a speech from someone who is lost and has no strength to rise again because it feels like every time they rise, they get pushed harder to the ground. It is hard that letting go is just the best solution, and you can't blame them because you are not them.
As humans, we all have our limits. That same thing you faced that still had you moving on crushes someone else entirely.
Truly, I don't know what it is like for you, but I do know what it's like for me. I know motivational quotes may not be the best ones for you now, and you don't want to listen to anything. So, I'll leave you with this quote; Forgive yourself and embrace yourself. Talk to yourself and take the pain. Take it and grow from it.
I know it is hard and sad that you have to take the pain. That you still have to swallow another heavy lump in your throat, but that's the way. The only way you can help yourself is by talking to yourself. You are the best person to take yourself out of any situation.
When the pain has been taken, stand firm, be flexible, and know that life can still happen to you. I know having that at the back of our mind can be disturbing, but that's the reality of our lives unless we would rather lie to ourselves. This is why we've got to see this as a motivation to never give up because life needs to be balanced. It'll give us bitter and sweet experiences. The sweetness is always awesome, and the bitterness beats us down, but when we see it from the perspective that life happens not because we are good or bad but because that's just life.
