I like winter. I like the cold and the whiteness and the dark times to look inward and keep yourself occupied with your inner voice(s).
But I like that when it's pretty and I have nowhere to go.
And I like it until Spring starts to remind me that the light can be good, too. That we must shift our energies and not get stagnant in our lives and views.
So I pulled out one of my grey sketchbooks and brought it out of the dark and into the light. To get my energy ready to shift into Spring-mode!
My workspace is less than fancy. My old Ikea desk has a weird shape and hits the wall when I use my eraser.
The gross jars of water finally got replaced, yesterday, after a WEEK of watercolor classes!
But my supplies are always ready to lift my mood. My mini vision page is there to remind me that good things are happening.
I didn't have a plan in mind so I just sketched a giant flower and some little ones, and started painting.
I just used what colors I had in my stash.
Things don't need to be 'thought out' all the time.
Our energies will take us where we need to go. Our resources will be exactly what we need.
I LOVE this red. I am a blues and greens kinda girl but this red just spoke to me.
It was exactly the color I needed to get out of the grey.
I'm ready for Spring now. And ready to admit it. An energy shift is exactly what is needed and it's coming.
I hope you feel the shift and are energized by it. Go hug a tree and put your feet on the dirt. Spring is coming.
