Language!
I adore learning languages.🦋
For various reasons, I started to develop an inclination for learning a new language, which later I took rather sincerely enough to put money, time, and energy!
Currently, it is French, they say the language of love, is what I am pursuing from the institution.
The first foreign language I'd learned is Hindi, not institutionally but due to a certain level of exposure to hindi cinema, music from almost my childhood! And this is very common for us due to being a neighbouring country and distinct yet very similar to the base sorts of cultural and traditional resemblances. Second one was Urdu, because of my fascination to Shyayree (a type of poem).
These two languages are not neither learnt perfectly not mastered academically.
For French after certain exposure, I'd eventually started learning institutionally a few years back. After learning certain level, I had to drop off the course for both being penniless and jobless.
It is very costly to learn french institutionally in this country unfortunately. 🥲
Nonetheless, after taking a break I started it again recently not that I have any penny now but I am very desperate not to lag behind anymore!
Needles to mention, that is possible because of my dearest friend (both of us started together and amazingly he did not drop from the course), who is lending me the course fee. 💜
The obsession to learn French first derived from working with international organisations, specially one that is from France. As I desire to work with them, only English will not be of any use as I do not have any exceptional background connection to this path.
So, I need more weapons than any other nationals and knowing French can be, no will be actually a solid step towards the dream.
Also, as a literature enthusiast, now I am being more inclined to learn French and founding some other insightful components as well to use the language.
I would like to drop some insights as well while I am at it, which is applicable for learning a language in general.
When I’d heard people speaking in french with each other, I used to think learning French language will be extremely tough one.
Specially the efforts I will have to make for the accent, might rip my vocal cord!
Learning a new language at this age is indeed a hassle.
However, since I’d started to learn, I realised french indeed comparatively quiet a beautiful language to learn.
From the little experience, I found people fret and become disheartened while learning french about 2 things-
They always compare grammar, intonation, words with English which should not be.
It’s an entirely different language. And nobody invented language by explaining it’s grammatical or intonation explanation or by logical sense! It is what it is. If we accept it this way, it would be easier to accept instead of constantly comparing with English The speed of learning seems too long for people. They get frustrated for not being able to speak or listen after 6/7 months course learning.
But man, we have been learning English since our childhood. yet we can’t really speak properly even after 10/15 years of learning. Some of us even barely make a conversation even after years of learning. So, please adjust your expectations according to reality, rationally.
