Some Things Are Just Not Meant to Be

Hey there, lovely readers!

Today, I want to share a bit of my recent experience that reminded me of an age-old saying: "Some things are just not meant to be." I do believe that not everything is destined to happen, at least not always at the present moment. That's precisely why it's important not to persistently pursue something right now. Now, we've all encountered situations where no matter how hard we try, things don't seem to fall into place. For me, this thing happened when I embarked on the journey to obtain my driving license.

Picture this: I had my sights set on the road, studied the rules, and practiced and making progress. Every parallel parking attempt and three-point turn was a step closer to my goal. But, as fate would have it, not everything goes as planned. Despite my dedication, the driving test day arrived, and my nerves were on overdrive. I knew that driving with an instructor was a tad different from being on my own, but I was ready—or so I thought.

As the test began, a mix of emotions surged through me, yet I managed to steady myself. I made a couple of errors that day and I complicated myself by choosing the harder way. Unfortunately, what it could have been a well-deserved YES, it turned into was a big, fat "Sorry, you did not pass this time."

I can also discuss how it dealt a blow to my ego because I wasn't accustomed to experiencing failure on major exams. This particular test was one I failed to pass multiple times. Initially, I couldn't help but feel disheartened. I'd put in so much effort, only to be handed a setback. But then it hit me: maybe this was one of those instances when things just weren't meant to be, at least not at that exact moment.

You see, life has a funny way of steering us in directions we might not have anticipated. As much as I wanted to get my license in that moment, maybe the universe had other plans for me. Perhaps it was a reminder to take things in stride, to accept that setbacks happen, and that they don't define our capabilities.

Reflecting on this experience, I realized that it's okay to stumble and falter along the way. Sometimes, those stumbling blocks are merely stepping stones to greater lessons. Maybe I needed more practice, more time to build my confidence, or maybe there's a hidden message in this experience that I'm meant to discover.

So, my dear readers, the next time you find yourself in a situation where things don't quite go your way, remember that sometimes, the universe has a way of guiding us toward what we truly need. As for my driving license? Well, it might not have happened this time, but who knows what the future holds? Until then, I'll embrace the journey, bumps and all, because some things are just not meant to be...at least not yet.

*Stay tuned for more tales from my journey through life. And as always, keep smiling and keep believing in the magic of life's twists and turns.

Until next time! 🚗💫*
