Mixing with the Old

in #hive-1092884 months ago

They say, “Old is Gold” but to me, it's always been something that bugs me if there is something backdated that might backfire or create disputes later. They have their own point of view to look at them and I do also have my opinion to establish the thought. It's normal, we all have our own thoughts and opinions based on our own experiences and understandings.

I am learning and researching in the tech field and we all know how fast things are growing there. One month of break would seem like we have missed a lot, lagged behind, and couldn’t keep pace with the progressive world. So when I am on a hunt for learning materials I do get plenty of good resources that are created three to four years along with the recently updated ones. I feel like, “This one is four years old, surely there are many things that aren’t relevant to today's tech. Let's skip it for some updated ones.” Well, this one isn't false either, there have been tons of development in the sector I am focusing on so there are many gaps for sure.

When I knocked a senior of mine, he said to follow that particular author's blog posts. I asked him about the old content issue and in reply, he said, “Old is Gold, just go for it.” Actually, their point of view is to adapt the methodology, their thoughts, and opinions, even if they are old, you should do a deep dive to see it from the roots. Watch and read updated ones as well, related to the changes, see how the tech is growing and you will have enough materials to complete your tasks.

Actually, the old contents are like gold mines, only the best out of the best ones live alive and make it to our reach. So those are no way too backdated to be thrown into the dustbin. It shows us the evergreen methodologies, immortal advice perhaps that hasn’t yet faded away. Later, we need to blend them together. It's like collecting the experience from the timeline and mixing it together with the latest components. That's how a perfect research and learning path should be, isn’t it?

I got advice from those who have already tasted it and found it helpful. And so I am walking towards that path as well, tasting how it goes and so far It's been excellent. I will surely continue doing this.

So yeah, that's it for now, gotta get back to my research topic, that's what I was talking about. Keep me in your prayers.

Have a great day,
Take Care!!
