Hola, querido hiver.
Todo lo bueno (y lo malo también, ¡que no se nos olvide!) se acaba y hace apenas unas horas que estoy de vuelta de las vacaciones. En un suspiro estaré de nuevo inmersa en mis labores habituales, lo que no me disgusta en absoluto. Escribo esta publicación para dar señales de vida y avisar a quienes me conocéis de que poco a poco reapareceré por nuestros lugares de encuentro.
En esta ocasión me he movido a las montañas, de las que he traído recuerdos como el de la portada. Ha sido un viaje al Principado de Andorra con el pueblo de Ordino como nuestra base de operaciones. Hemos pasado ya unos cuantos veranos por allí aunque desde antes de la pandemia no habíamos vuelto. Pronto empezaré a compartir por aquí lugares y curiosidades.
Cambiar de aires siempre me sienta bien. Ayuda a ver las cosas con perspectiva y a darles su verdadero sentido y trascendencia. El descanso respecto a lo cotidiano renueva las energías y refresca la motivación para continuar con la mejor de las disposiciones. Es parar para seguir, por incongruente que suene.
Por otro lado, se ha dado la circunstancia de que mi viaje haya coincidido con la enorme incertidumbre que están pasando muchos de mis amigos aquí. Porque para mí son amigos. Venezolanos residentes, emigrados o apegados como yo, que ya me siento un poquito de allí de tanto aprender mediante sus letras. Ojalá que dentro de muy poco los deseos de la mayoría del pueblo se vean cumplidos y pronto sintamos que el mundo es mejor, que la esperanza nunca se pierde cuando la causa que se persigue es justa. Desde aquí envío un fuerte abrazo para todos.
Cierro este pequeño avance de noticias aprovechando para destacar la valiosa lección que nuestros hermanos venezolanos nos dan en estos momentos: la libertad que disfrutamos puede desaparecer sin que nos demos cuenta, a veces tan despacio que no lo apreciemos. Haciendo poco ruido, sibilinamente. En cambio, cuesta mucho sufrimiento (este siempre es demasiado aunque fuera poco) y dolor recuperarla. Es bueno perdonar pero no olvidar lo ocurrido para tratar de no repetirlo.

Hi, dear hiver.
All good things (and bad things too, don't forget!) come to an end and I've only been back from holidays for a few hours. In no time at all I'll be back to my usual work, which I'm not at all unhappy about. I am writing this post to give signs of life and to let those of you who know me know that I will gradually reappear in our meeting places.
This time I have moved to the mountains, from which I have brought back memories like the one on the cover. It was a trip to the Principality of Andorra with the village of Ordino as our base of operations. We have already spent a few summers there although we hadn't been back since before the pandemic. Soon I will start sharing places and curiosities here.
A change of scenery is always good for me. It helps to see things in perspective and to give them their true meaning and significance. The break from the everyday renews the energy and refreshes the motivation to continue with the best of dispositions. It is stopping in order to continue, as incongruous as it may sound.
On the other hand, my trip has coincided with the enormous uncertainty that many of my friends here are going through. Because for me they are friends. Venezuelan residents, emigrants, or people like me, who already feel a little bit like I am from there from learning so much through their letters. I hope that very soon the wishes of the majority of the people will be fulfilled and we will soon feel that the world is a better place, that hope is never lost when the cause being pursued is just. From here I send a big hug to all of you.
I close this small news preview by taking the opportunity to highlight the valuable lesson that our Venezuelan brothers and sisters are giving us at this time: the freedom we enjoy can disappear without us realising it, sometimes so slowly that we do not appreciate it. Noiselessly, sibylline. On the other hand, it costs a lot of suffering (this is always too much, even if it is too little) and pain to recover it. It is good to forgive but not to forget what happened in order to try not to repeat it.
