Thoughtful Daily Post Curation Compilation #14

in #hive-1092885 months ago

By conveying our deeper thoughts on Hive, we can uplift and support each other across the blockchain. This week we had some wonderful authors visit to share their life reflections, wisdom, and snapshots of their experience on this rock with us.

No matter if they have responded to our weekly prompt, or posted on their own topics, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate thoughtfulness on chain! We hope you will consider taking the time to check their writing out and support their work! You may even make a new friend. ✌️

Get Caught Up in the Textbook by @honeydue

It seems to me that the rise of social media psychology, and all these gurus and experts on anything and everything relating to how you should live, is creating a depressing drought in actual living. I think a lot of people, particularly young people (but not only limited to them, of course) get caught up in ticking all the boxes, in trying to follow this textbook for life that (they think) guarantees them a pain free, guilt free, ideal existence, that they forget to actually live. Or become too scared to. While I think it's healthy for us to develop a better understanding of who we are, what matters, what boundaries we want to set etc. , I think it's also important to remember that life doesn't actually have a textbook

#ThougfulDailyPost - Looking After Our Swagger by @zekepickleman

Back again in the blog where I find quotes and images that made me pause, and share them with you. @Wesphilbin waves the flag for us and runs @thoughtfulposts as the curation account that rewards thoughtful posts. Please consider delegating if you are the thoughtful type and want to encourage people to share their positivity. Here are a couple that made me pause, ponder, and made the cut for thoughtfuldailypost. Pairing them with music just seems right as words to tune have that extra special power

Lies: A Debt to Be Paid by @minhajulmredol

“Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later that debt is paid”. Valery Legasov, Chernobyl Give this quote a minute and think about it, don't you think it's fing true? Hell yeah, yesterday I was almost dead due to a few of the lies that I had previously said to avoid chaos and those have now found their way out and were about to do bigger destruction. Somehow managed!

Three More Sleeps by @riverflows

Three more sleeps, we text each other across the miles. It's been 30 degrees in England and 13 here this morning is foggy and frosty, the drive into work being a pale white shot through with headlights. On Sunday I'll be cautiously driving up this highway in the dark, on the way to Melbourne Airport to meet Jamie when he comes off his long haul flight via Dubai from Heathrow. We'll suffer through a little awkwardness whilst we readjust to being together, and him to jetlag and being home again. Last time it was three weeks apart, and we swore we'd never do it again

Adventures In Homesteading (Day 57-59) by @jacobpeacock

Hello Everyone! So long stumps, A big rain event, The enigma of the sand layer, The gravity fed holding tank is finally full & Dastardly bills! Alright, it has been a few days since I was able to make time to do any writing... which has mainly been a combination of bad weather... and being too wiped out each day to alter my schedule to accommodate it

Yujule There goes the emerging hitter! | Reflections (En -Es) by @mafalda2018

"To love yourself is the beginning of a lifelong romance". (Oscar Wilde) Sometimes life gives some people lessons that many times they don't understand or they pretend to be crazy. Or they simply do not assimilate it because it is too strong for them. To others it is explained with apples and pears, and nothing at all, they are still clinging to an impossible, or to something that is not for them. If you do not respect and love yourself as a human being, you cannot expect that other people who are nothing like you, and to whom you are not bound by blood ties, will do so

Feeling Empty and Down? Start Counting Your Blessings by @jloberiza

July 30, 2024 Feeling Empty and Down? Start Counting Your Blessings Yesteday, I realized my two wallets are empty. Literally, except for a few coins I have nothing. Even my crypto wallets are almost empty. My bank accounts are almost empty and I have debts to pay

So far, I'm so grateful. by @beckyroyal

Gratitude is the memory of the heart.... Jean Baptiste Indeed there are a lot of things that I am grateful for. A song writer wrote "count your blessings, name them one by one". I believe that doing so literally will help us have an idea of the multiple blessings that come our way. Things I am grateful for First of all, my gratitude would not make sense if I am not grateful for the gift of life

Aftermath of our actions. by @balikis95

At this point, I don't even know what else to say. Every human on earth has a right, but if you are in a place such right is trampled on for too long, standing up for yourself when you've been slapped numerous times would be very hard. The moment someone gets to that kind of place emotionally, they become robots controlled by their masters to do their bidding. Such a world some of us now leave in, sadly. The August first protest, which has been said weeks before its commencement to end bad governance, is finally going on in different states, and it is quite heartbreaking seeing and reading the news that pops up on my timeline

My she goat and her babies. by @ijebest

Sometimes, we see the unexpected happen about what we have made a calculative arrangements for and fully hopeful on, crashing down without help. It's so painful to see someone's expectations crumbles maybe because of a minor mistake that's not even yours to fix or by something you never believed that could happen. I have a she and a he goat that I have been feeding by going all out to the bush cutting the type of grasses they eat bringing them home to feed them for one year now. I mean, I have been taking very good care of these goats.... let me say, they're husband and wife, 😂
