Hey everyone! First let me reintroduce myself. I first started posting to Liketu with my alt account, @picyoudyer. That was my account I made back in the day of APPICS. I also used it for shorter posts. This was due to the fact that a lot of people used to use Autovote, and I never wanted to take advantage. But now those days are long gone. I will consolidate everything to my main account. I admit I have been slacking in the content creation dept. But you can expect posts about cannabis, California, and my family.
This post is a trip of my family, and I on Hollywood BLVD. We did not have much time, so we had to make it count! First stop was the TCL Chinese Theatre where we got to see some cement blocks where some famous people left their mark. To me this is one of the coolest spots on the BLVD, since it is truly unique. More so than the random stars you see on the Walk Of Fame, although they are still cool. My boys love Godzilla, and we all love Selena, so those were the two highlights. Selenas star is actually in front of Tower Records, and that was a trek!
One thing to know about this famous street, it is a tourist trap! Almost every other store is a gift shop with junk. Although one had a cool statue of the Predator. Also walking around you will see random characters looking to take a picture with you. Watch out for some of these guys, they will try to charge you a grip! Luckily Freedy Kruger was a cool dude, and accepted 5$. Sorry Spiderman, a quick nickel is better than a slow dime. BTW Spiderman was asking 30$. Sorry dude. No way. I got bills too.
Another thing that is not very unique, but definitely a site to be associated with the BLVD, are the food carts, with the Street Dogs! You know we had to hit that up before we left. Which by this time it started to rain, and we left just in time. It was cool to take my boys here, but next time we are staying far away. There are so many other better places to visit, but Hollywood deserves its due. But I do wish we had more time to explore the more unique places located here.
Tell me in the comments if you have ever been. If so, what is your most favorite memory, or spot?
