Today I will be presenting you a horror characterization makeup, inspired by the monsters of the series "The Last of Us" horror, science and fiction, since I started watching it I had the idea to recreate these monsters infected with this fungus that takes over humans, so I made a character in the process of transformation I did it my way just look for images of the movie and already in my head I had how I was going to do this kind of makeup with prosthesis, I tell you that my son and I have a phobia of these creatures but I decided to face this phobia creating my version.
Hoy estaré presentandoles un maquillaje de caracterización de terror, inspirado en los monstruos de la serie "The Last of Us" de terror, ciencia y ficción, que desde que empecé a verla se me hizo una idea recrear a estos monstruos infectados con este hongo que se apodera de los humanos, así que hice un personaje en proceso de transformación lo hice a mi manera solo busque imágenes de la serie y ya en mi cabeza tenía como iba a hacer este tipo de maquillaje con protesis, les cuento que mi hijo y yo le tenemos fobia a estas criaturas pero decidí enfrentar esta fobia creando mi versión.
To work this makeup I used moldable dough, latex and napkin, in my work table I have a glass to make my prosthesis and make it easier to remove, I spread some baby oil and expanded it and I was adding latex making the shape of half of the face, then I was placing napkin to give it volume making a vine spécie, and placed latex on top of this again, then with the moldable dough I made the shapes I wanted and placed it on top because in my Idea this virus had just formed itself, I also made two geridas with a few sprigs of wheat to give it a shape that was leaving a sprout of this fungus and dry these prostheses, to have it ready I was adding baby powder, so that the latex does not adhere and remove it from my work table, this step is very important, then apply white color to the forms that I did as a base, then apply body paint in orange, yellow, brown to give it the shape I wanted. To the rest of the latex I applied liquid base, then I gave it depth with brown shadows and applied orange tones on top and finished by applying powder all over the ready prosthesis.
Para trabajar este maquillaje utilicé masa moldeable, látex y servilleta, en mi mesa de trabajo tengo un vaso para hacer mi prótesis y que sea más fácil de quitar, unté un poco de aceite de bebé y lo expandí y fui agregando látex haciendo la forma de la mitad de la cara, luego fui colocando servilleta para darle volumen haciendo una spécie de enredadera, y coloqué látex encima de esta nuevamente, luego con la masa moldeable hice las formas que quise y la coloqué en una parte superior ya que en mi Idea este virus se acababa de formar solo, Tambien hice dos geridas con unas ramitas de trigo para darle una forma que fuera saliendo un brote de este hongo y seque estas protesis, para tenerlo listo fui agregando talco de bebe, para que el latex no se adhiera y lo retire de mi mesa de trabajo, este paso es muy importante, luego aplique color blanco a las formas que hice como base, luego aplique pintura corporal en tono naranja, amarillo, cafe para darle la forma que queria. Al resto del látex le apliqué base líquida, luego le di profundidad con sombras marrones y apliqué tonos naranjas encima y terminé aplicando polvo por toda la prótesis lista.
In this part I worked my skin, I did a cleaning and then moisturize it, wait 20 min to work it, then I applied a moisturizing base in the center of the face, and I applied a very pale base on the face then I sealed with compact powder and then I began to draw veins, to darken the areas of the eyes and the pale mouth all decrepit, after finishing the makeup I placed the prosthesis.
En esta parte trabaje mi piel, le hice una limpieza y luego la hidrate, espere 20 min para trabajarla, luego le aplique una base hidratante en el centro de la cara, y le aplique una base muy pálida en la cara luego selle con polvos compactos y luego comencé a dibujar venas, a oscurecer las zonas de los ojos y la boca pálida toda decrépita, después de terminar el maquillaje le coloque la prótesis.
To place the larger prosthesis I first covered the eyes and the eyebrow with cotton, then I applied latex on the edges and adhered it to the face, then I placed the small ones on the other side of the face and on the neck. To give it a more monstrous look I used some chameleon and artificial blood and placed them in strategic places of this work, also on my mouth and on a spot I made on my forehead, then I placed a contact lens on my forehead.
Para colocar las prótesis más grandes primero cubrí los ojos y la ceja con algodón, luego apliqué látex en los bordes y lo adherí a la cara, luego coloqué las pequeñas en el otro lado de la cara y en el cuello. Para darle un aspecto más monstruoso utilicé un poco de camaleón y sangre artificial y los coloqué en lugares estratégicos de este trabajo, también en mi boca y en una mancha que hice en mi frente, luego coloqué un lente de contacto en mi frente.
When I finished I took the pictures it was a little difficult because I was working blind hehe so I asked my husband for help for that. Cuando termine me tome las fotos fue un poco difícil porque estaba trabajando a ciegas jeje así que le pedí ayuda a mi esposo para eso.
