First of all, thank you for this @visualblock!
And thanks to @wesphilbin for nominating and letting me know of this!

I’m a sucker for cakes! When I was still a baby (of course I won’t remember but there are photos left), my grandmother would always bake a cake for me monthly. I don’t know if I ate them but I bet I didn’t (I was still a baby).
When I was of age, she got alzheimer‘s and was bedridden and she could hardly remember me. I missed her cakes and actually I wanted to learn from her but my eagerness to learn came too late.
She’s now laid to rest but everytime I eat cakes, I would always remember her. I don’t know how her cakes taste like but I would always think it’s sweet like her.

Fast forward to now, cakes have always been my comfort food. Everytime I’m feeling down, I would always look for cakes.

My favorite cake is cheesecake. And this cake from Osaka, Japan - only found in Osaka - has been my go-to cheesecake.

It’s fluffy and super soft! It melts in your mouth! I could finish it in one sitting (ssh please don’t tell others).

I’ve moved to Tokyo now and Osaka’s a 3 hour bullet train ride but whenever I visit Osaka, I would always bring home this Rikuro’s cheesecake. No other cheesecakes in Tokyo can compare to this, but of course I just couldn’t go to Osaka anytime I want so I’m considering other cheesecakes and cakes.

If you’re in Osaka, don’t forget to buy Rikuro’s cheesecake. They’re so yummy and so affordable.

Oh d ko to alam na community hehe.. Thanks.. Ako love cake, pro nung nalaman ko my lactose and gluten intolerance ako.. Nilimit ko na pagkain 😭.. Kumakain parin kht bawal pro minsan lng haha..

Me too, lactose intolerant. Sometimes I make my own so I could carefully choose the ingredients.
Sometimes I just get lazy and have store-bought cakes.
Even with being lactose intolerant, I still eat cheesecakes 😂

Haha..kht yang cake may milk yan 🤣..
Dati nagfeferment ako kefir pra mawala lactose sa milk.. Tapus oats gingawa cake kung nag cicrave ako with milk kefir . kaso natamad na ako 🤣 each day kc kelangan iprocess yan..

Try almond milk 😉 Won’t hurt my tummy!

Processed almond milk my lactose din. Hirap makahanap ng lactose free. At ang mahal 🤣

We hope @jane1289 will also share their favorite treat with us.

I'm thinking haha

This comment is beautiful and full of feeling. How nice that a treat takes you to a happy moment in which you shared with your grandmother, it is a sweet memory indeed.

I have heard of these cakes, although I have never eaten them, they must be delicious and unique, since many recommend it.

I also know how it feels to sit down to eat a cake and not be able to stop, hahaha, no matter how much one wants to stop, we would always like to eat more.

It's nice to see how you share personal and valuable memories with all of us, thank you very much for that. Welcome to @visualblock!

Thank you @visualblock!

I was very close with my grandmother and even when she was sick and bedridden, I would always talk to her about so many things. I kinda miss her especially since today's mother's day.

I hope you could try this cheesecake. It's really good, I mean super duper good. It's not super sweet, just fine. Maybe that’s why I couldn’t stop eating the whole cake. 😂

That cake gives a lot of desire to try it. I also love cakes, I could eat all day without stopping hahaha. Great share, thank you so much for sharing those memories with us. A hug for you.

Thank you @alberto0607!
Cakes are really my favorite, I mean who doesn't like cakes? 😅
