Marriage is a blessing and it is a new chapter for the newest couples in town. After all, it is said in the bible that “a man will leave his parents and cleave to his wife”. One never knows how beautiful a wedding is until he or she experiences this glorious day.
Being a guest at a wedding day celebration will leave you growing butterflies in your stomach hehe. They are truly beautiful guys! Gosh not me smiling so silly because I am imagining how mine would be hehe I won’t wish I would rather wait!
This article would be a preview of this post THE SEAL AT THE REGISTRY and unfortunately this post wasn’t promoted the way I wanted it. In the meantime, I am using this medium to refer you my dearest reader to take a good read at it because this is where everything that transpired is in detail.
It was the wedding of my cousin's brother “Derrick” and his beautiful wife “Rosin” who wedded during the first quarter of the year, 2023. Well, if you had gone through the highlighted post you would have known by now who she is and how she came.

On the day of the wedding, I had to wear a not-so-regular outfit because I didn’t buy the idea of sewing a material basically for the bridesmaid duty.
I was occupied with activities left and right and that black dress was bought for the ceremony, bad outfit right? I had no choice!
We left as early as 4 a.m. and the Uber driver picked up the couples that were residing far from the location of the wedding hall and then went back to the Registry. It wasn’t a church wedding but a court wedding, the couples decided to use this medium to get married since it was an interracial marriage and the only way to get even more official and legal.
Moreover, church wedding preparations are way too complicated and also stressful.
On getting to the venue, lo and behold! The sight of intending couples like I meant couples struck me! I was so flabbergasted and to jolt my memory it was on a Wednesday, so if it was a Saturday which is the normal day for a wedding what would it look like? It seemed to me that these marriages were based on contracts and so on.
That doesn’t mean that folks don’t legally get married for love, maybe few are bypassing the stress of the regular marriage procedures. Yo! I am not in their mind so I am just saying you know!
We walked to take positions; it was my cousin and his wife who took a seat in the area specifically for intending couples.
This would enable swift attendance so they can all be interviewed and then proceed to legalize their marriage.
After hours of waiting, it was their turn to be interviewed by the prosecutor and then to the hall where they would be pronounced: “husband and wife”. While waiting, I looked around and saw a lady who was renting a bouquet and peddling it around. I stopped her and took a good look at the samples she was holding, so I brought out my phone, took pictures of it, and sent it to my cousin while he was inside in the prosecutor’s office with his wife for her to make a choice.
She needed to choose so that I could secure that particular design because it would be used for taking pictures with the billboard. As soon as she was out, they went directly to the event hall. The process of legalizing the marriage took effect, oaths were taken, a certificate of marriage was given, an exchange of rings happened and the rest followed.
Finally, they came out and took pictures and everyone went home, I suggest you take a good read at this post THE SEAL AT THE REGISTRY if you are interested in the full details.
