Its a thing of joy to celebrate memories like this because its in the past , but thinking about this event ironically, its a thing of tears 😭 that souls were lost to guns and machetes. And many who would have survived died of untreated wounds, abandonment and hunger. Even many thought 💭 with hope that they will make it and unite with their families again.
These number one citizens are the warriors of their time, now and will continue to be because the memory they left is an everlasting one. They surrendered their lives for the sake of their country, their loved 🥰 ones and unborn generations to have peace ☮️. Their serving present mates the Nigerian Soldiers see them as their fallen heroes 🦸‍♂️💪.
Its always a special day here in Nigeria 🇳🇬 with lots of parades at the Capitals , Speeches from top government officials, gunshots to salute their souls, the departed whose memories live through this celebration. The pain in all this is suffered by those who lost their beloved ones. A day to cry and some visiting cemeteries to leave flowers 🌺 for their family member graves. Some parents, friends, family members, brothers, sisters. It’s usually an amazing day but some will be in sorrow.

The month of May serves as the month of flowers since flowers tend to bloom during this season hence there are several festivals held everywhere in the 3 big islands in the Philippines. The Philippines is a highly Catholic country where "Sagalas" are usually sponsored by the Catholic churches.
Otherwise known as Sagala, Flores de Mayo (Flowers of May) is a month-long festival of the Catholic church here in the Philippines. It can be considered an old tradition that can be traced back during the Spanish colonization in the Philippines. Flores de Mayo is celebrated in honor of the blessed Virgin Mary which features floral offerings, daily prayers and processions. It is also a reenaction of Queen Helena's search of the true cross so they say.

Cuba is an eternal summer, but the months of July and August are the months of school break and therefore many people take their vacations too, so families always organize some fun or entertaining things to do.
This summer promises to be very, very hot here, imagine that May broke temperature records, so if always one of the most appreciated activities for everyone is to go to the beach, because we are an island and we are surrounded by sea, almost all of us are fascinated and enjoy it very much.
Going to the beach is not very expensive and relaxes us a lot, but this summer we are in the middle of a deep economic crisis and fuel prices are sky high, so we should think about organizing cultural activities in the community.
My husband and I want to go with our eldest granddaughter to some very instructive tours that Old Havana offers. These are certain tours through the historic center with a guide, walking around Havana is very attractive, especially when you take the tour with people who explain and teach you to discover all the values of the city, which is a world heritage site and holds universal treasures.
I am very excited with the organization of the trip, since it has been more than three years since I have been there, several members of the family are going to meet there, the young boys bring more joy to the meeting, they are in charge of all the recreation.

It's not too hard to think of a place where I would want to stay every vacation, winter or summer. I think sometimes I get too predictable, yes, I know! You have to change habits from time to time or in this case, places and cross out a new corner on the map. But sometimes the purse has different plans 🤭.
Even with a full or half full wallet, I choose again and again the small town of Cubiro (Municipality Jimenez, Edo. Lara-Venezuela) I go with my husband at least 3 times a year 😔 and if I'm honest, for my heart that is very little. Even though Cubiro is not a very big town, those visits have not been enough to visit it completely. As soon as we arrive, we get into hiking mode, we walk around the square area, we have a chocolate, we update the photos 🤭 and the following days begins what we most long for this vacation. We take another road and start hiking the mountain again. On each hike it seems that the vegetation shows us more, we see things we didn't notice before. Sometimes I think that in every encounter with the mountain, it tests us and rewards us with its mist that makes everything always more magical and mysterious.
That's why I always want to go back, because I long to meet at least once in my life with the guacharacas 🐦 that sing every day hidden in their forest worthy of praise.

This summer is looking really hectic and stress filled for me, but if an opportunity arises where I can wriggle some leisure time out, there is a place where I would really love to visit. I've been longing to cross it out from my bucket list because it's been there for too long.
This place is actually one of the most beautiful places in my country, Nigeria. Obudu mountain resort, formerly called Obudu cattle ranch, is my dream summer vacation destination. The mountain resort is located in Obudu plateau, Cross Rivers State, close to the Cameroon border.
It is also a historic place as it has been existing since 1951 and even has a school in the community that has been existing since 1954! I'm sure the community has a wonderful history too. The Obudu mountain resort is full of lush and green mountains and plateaus.
I would also love to take a ride in the cable car. It's something I've never experienced before, but I would definitely love to try it. Another fun activity I would do is to go sightseeing as there are many places there, like the Holy mountain which has the highest point range and people come there to fellowship, pray and communicate with God.
There are also waterfalls for swimming, and there is a nature reserve called Becheeve nature reserve which is a conservation forest filled with plants, animals, and trees as old as time itself. It also has a 60 km canopy walkway. As a student of agriculture, this is undoubtedly a sightseeing spot for me because there is also a nursery for growing trees here.
