It was a weekend, and I had been thinking about how I was going to spend the day. On Saturday morning around 8 a.m., I saw this strange light outside my room through the window. I rushed out to see what was going on and then discovered a fog right in front of my house. I said to myself, "Is something wrong with my eyes? Didn't I see a light before coming out? Where has it disappeared to?"
Suddenly, before I could make a move, I heard a strange voice saying, "Whatever thought comes to your mind now will come true." The first thought that came to my mind was the phrase "light at the end of the tunnel." What a strange thought, I said to myself. Of all things, this can't be real. I thought, even if it were to come to pass, it would be to find a sound solution to my present situation.
In a matter of seconds after saying this, a very long tunnel appeared before me. Before I could do anything, I found myself at the entrance. "Is this some kind of joke?" I said, and in the twinkling of an eye, I was inside the tunnel. I can't explain how it happened. The tunnel closed up behind me, and the inside was dark. I had no light with me, as I had left my phone in my room. The only thing I had was my wristwatch, which had a faint light. Seeing that I had no choice and couldn't go back, I realized I had to get to the end of the tunnel. I blamed myself for thinking of such things.
After walking for an hour, I sat inside the tunnel and shouted, "What kind of stupid, unprepared quest is this? Why didn't I think of getting a car or a house full of gold or food? Now I'm stuck in this tunnel without food, and I don't know how or when I will get to the end."
After 5 minutes of sitting in the tunnel, I saw a faint light above my head, and suddenly something fell. The light disappeared, so I quickly picked up my wristwatch and turned on the light to check what was happening. To my greatest surprise, I saw a big loaf of bread and a bottle of Coke resting beside me. I became happy, opened the bread in seconds, and started eating, along with the Coke. Then I took the remaining bread in my hands and proceeded with the journey.
After about another hour, I consumed the remaining bread and continued the journey. After 5 hours of walking in the tunnel, I noticed a ray of light ahead of me, though it was still a little far. I put all my strength together and started running towards it. The more I ran, the brighter it became. After 30 minutes of non-stop running, I came to the end of the tunnel and saw the light at the end of the tunnel. "What a journey," I said to myself. Then I heard a faint voice saying, "You have completed your quest." Suddenly, I found myself again in front of my house. I ran back in and came out again, but it was as if nothing had happened. Nobody in the house knew anything, not even the neighbors. I tried to explain it to my neighbor, who seemed close, but he never believed me.
I thought everything was just a total waste of time and energy until three days ago, on Monday morning, when my boss called as early as 6 a.m. to tell me that he was making me the CEO of the company I work for. I was shocked and didn't know how to express my happiness. It was shocking because I wasn't even a branch manager before; I was only an operator managing the engine room. I indeed saw the light at the end of the tunnel. You might find it strange to believe, but it's actually true.
