My Best Christmas Anthem.

Greetings to you all, my friends.

Yesterday, being Christmas Day, was the best day of the year for me. It is always a time of joy, celebration, happiness, reunion, and reflection where several music artists produce amazing Christmas tracks, such as the Pentatonix and many others, but the one that has been living rent-free in my head since the inception of this festive season is “Everybody Loves Christmas."

The song is being sang by Funke Akindele (a Nigerian actress and filmmaker), Waje (a Nigerian musician), and other cast members of a movie titled Everybody Loves Jenifa (a blockbuster movie that was just released into the cinema a few weeks ago). Some of the cast include Bisola Aiyeola, Falz, Nancy Isime, Omowunmi Dada, Dbanj, Lateef Adedimeji, and many other amazing people.

The song is a mixture of good vibes, owambe vibes, rap music, and prayers. It delves into the universal joy and togetherness of the season, pinpointing the delicious smells of Christmas food and pastries. I really applaud Funke Akindele and her team for gathering amazing actors and actresses giving their A-list performances. The music video is top-notch, not to talk of the music beats, costumes, graphics, and the lyrics; in fact, they really stood out. People of different tribes, religions, and backgrounds coming together in unison to perform such magic—indeed, everybody loves Christmas.

The part of the song that really resonated with me was the intro when Bisola sang that “Christmas is always the season where the rice is sweeter and the chicken is always bigger.” lol, that was really funny, and it's actually the truth because growing up, I didn't get to eat big meat or fish; it was always halved, the big ones were always reserved for the adults, guess when I get to eat big chicken without it being halved, it's Christmas season. lol

Another part of the music that stood out for me was the chorus, the fusion of the first line of a Christmas hymn sang by Hawk Nelson, “Hark The Herald Angel Sing, and a Yoruba Christmas song, “Keresimesi de Ibanuje ko ni wo'le wa (meaning Christmas is around; sadness will not enter our home). That was beautiful.

Additionally, a distinct part of the song that caught my ear was the pre-chorus that was sang by Nancy Isime, which goes thus:
And you know, love is available
This special miracle is nothing without love
Let it show, show everywhere you go, tell everyone you know
The reason for this season is your loving and giving

The pre-chorus really caught my attention, and what I could get from that part is that Christmas cannot be really what it is today without love. Gifting your loved ones and the ones in need has to be done genuinely in love, and the love has to be shown to all people around you

Honestly, the song is a hit, and it's really worth the hype. Everybody loves Christmas is a beautiful music track that I recommend to anyone around me. It's all over the internet; you can listen to it, and trust me, you will love it.

This is my entry for the December Day 26 Inleo Prompt organised by the @leogrowth team.
Thank you for always reading and engaging with my post. I deeply appreciate it.
