Breathe in, breathe out. The first month of the year has flashed by. I don't even know how to quantify what this month has been, there's so many metrics to consider. It has been a good start in a lot of aspects, but will I say I have not been as appreciative as I used to be?
That is one of the problems (Is that the right word?) of life. One moment you are happy about achieving something, but then it happens again and again and again and soon you start to lose that excitement you once felt when it happened. It becomes somewhat of a norm, an expectation, and then it all seems bland. Next thing you know you're in that stage where you're looking for more and tired of that thing that if it had happened a few months ago you'd be overjoyed. I found myself in that stage a lot this month. A win and then I'm just like "meh, where's the next one?"
And the fact that I'm even writing about this at least shows to an extent that I am trying to be grateful (and I am), but recently my brain has been all, "What's next? What's next?" The only aspects of my life I feel truly grateful for right now are my personal relationships, and the sport I started learning a while ago. The only moments that brought smiles to my face this month were when interacting with friends and loved ones, and playing lawn tennis. Am I even supposed to take notes of things like that? I don't even know. I think I'm just rambling at this point, back to the main point.
It's been a month of expansion, and my mindset continues to morph on a daily basis (learning, relearning, unlearning all that stuff). Not sure in what direction it's moving, but I'm really hoping that it is the right one. Let us see what February brings.
Speaking of positive direction, my Hive power moved in the right direction, Up. Yes,it is the first day of February, and also Hive power Up day. Incase you forgot, if you get to read this before 12 am UTC, you should definitely stake (power up) some of your hive tokens (I recommend atleast 10 for a badge). Help secure the network by building your hive power and using it to support the right witnesses. I powered up 15 HP this month. Let's keep building.
