Thanks to the advancement of the internet, let's say in the last 20 years to be more precise. We have had changes in several sectors and one of them I can say was the way we entertain ourselves. In the past, television and radio were just the means of communication and many Brazilian families based themselves on what the TV and radio newspapers said.
You must have realized how easy it would be to dominate newspapers at that time. I can say that through the media, combined with the government, it is a perfect union to manipulate anyone and without exaggeration, an entire nation. Brazil for years was governed by the PT government, for my friends who are readers who are most up to date with information about Brazil, by the same party that is in power in Brazil today.
I grew up in a state that has long had the worst education and violence rates in the country. We know that education is the basis for any place to prosper, but the region where I was born is the worst in this regard in all of Brazil. To give you an idea, interestingly, the current government party has dominated this region for decades.
Today I have 3 children, but when I decided to leave the state where I was born, it was because I needed to give my children a better future. At the time, I only had my two boys and my daughter was only born now where I live. Here in terms of security it is much better and in education too.
Where I lived, I've seen people being robbed and a friend of mine was robbed in front of his house and the other person who was with him was attacked by the criminal. The thief isn't worried about whether it's morning, afternoon or night... How many people have gone out to work early in the morning and been robbed? Know that there were many here.
One of the saddest moments in my life
I remember it as if it were yesterday, I was painting at my parents' house and I needed help with it and suddenly they told me that my wife who was pregnant with my second child was robbed when she was returning to our house at night. Two robbers on a motorcycle approached her and took her cell phone with her pregnant and that still angers me to this day.
I was very worried about her because you must know that the gestation period is quite delicate and I didn't want her to lose my son because of this trauma. It took my wife a long time to recover from this trauma of being afraid when a motorcycle approached her. Without a doubt, it was a very sad and delicate period. But thank God that my son was born and today he is 9 years old.
It is difficult in Brazil to meet someone who has never been robbed or robbed. As much as we try to prevent ourselves, unfortunately things happen. I myself was robbed once when I was 12 years old when the bandit stole my cap. As I was young, I still went after him, but when I saw that he had a knife, I had to back away, because my life was worth more than that cap.
Months later I found out from a friend of mine that this same criminal had been arrested and was later killed. If that really was true, he got what he deserved. I have no pity for criminals and unfortunately the laws here in Brazil are not harsh on these people. I would love to see harsher penalties for thieves, murderers and rapists. It doesn't matter the sentence, when they serve a third, they can have an open or semi-open regime... Everything will depend on the judge and their lawyers.
Rio de Janeiro is not what you think
I honestly don't know how people who are not from Brazil think about Rio de Janeiro today... I know that it is a very famous city around the world and know that tourists, especially from abroad, when they visit the “Cidade Maravilhos”, they never come back. Do you know why? For the simple fact that they were either robbed, had a terrible reception, a relative was murdered or witnessed an assault.
It always makes me sad to think and say this here, for those who don't know, I support Flamengo, it's the biggest fan base in the world with more than 45 million fans and I never think about one day visiting their museum, your headquarters, much less watch a match in your city, do you know why? It is in Rio de Janeiro. I who live in Brazil never think about going there because I don't want to run the risk of being robbed or killed in front of my children.
A family man must preserve the safety and lives of his children and the people he loves. It's a daily war there for the military police officer. To give you an idea of what it's like there, if a car or motorcycle could be an Uber or even a private vehicle, if you enter a “wrong” street where it is prohibited to enter, the person is shot or kidnapped and only God will know what happens. what will happen to that person.
At X, practically every day someone publishes a photo of a loved one, most of them men who have disappeared... What did they do? The vast majority were Uber motorbikes and taxi drivers. Obviously they entered somewhere in the favelas that was not allowed and or were mistaken for being from rival factions and had a tragic end.
No, I don't want that life for my children and of course during their development, I always try to educate them and teach them that life, the real world, is not what we see on TV. Life here is cruel, it is unfair and it is the duty of fathers and mothers to prepare their children to face this world today.
The fragility of the Brazilian people
I honestly don't know how people were able to vote for Lula to be the current president of Brazil, for everything he has done in recent years and if you don't know, Brazil today is known as a corrupt country thanks to him and your party. But what I can say is that one of the things that got him elected is the famous “Bread and Circus”.
Many people today confess that they were deceived by the typical lie during the election period when Lula said that people would eat picanha again and that they could buy beer as much as they wanted. You realize how easily manipulated these people are and the media was largely responsible for this.
If it weren't for the internet, many things would not be revealed and more and more traditional media is in its decline. TV Globo, which was the great powerhouse in Brazil and gained a lot of audience, is now suffering from its low reputation and mass layoffs in order to continue paying huge salaries to “celebrities” on its broadcaster. Even though the government pays Globo very well, they already realize that in the coming years, they will no longer have as much relevance in Brazilian homes.
Concluding
Impunity prevails in Brazil, if you are poor, it will be very difficult for you to survive here. With so many taxes recently created by the current government, I sometimes wonder how anyone can live on a minimum wage of R$1,412. The poor man buys a cell phone for practically that price and divides the credit card payment 10 times and guess what, he gets robbed.
As I said before, fortunately where I live I can leave the house and have that feeling of more security because here the military police have more authority to combat organized crime. As it is a continental country, there are still regions where we can have a good quality of life, education, health and safety better than in other places.
I don't know what it will be like in 5 or 10 years, I've thought a lot about leaving here with my family and maybe I'll think about it again. But in 2026 we will have new elections and I am very curious to know if the Brazilian people have already learned their lesson or will continue to let this current government treat us like trash. And to think that it was only 2 million votes that made the country this way...

Graças ao avanço da internet, digamos que dos últimos 20 anos sendo mais preciso. Tivemos mudanças em diversos setores e um deles posso dizer que foi a forma como nós nos entretemos. Antigamente a televisão e rádio eram apenas os meios de comunicação e muitas famílias brasileiras se baseavam no que os jornais da TV e rádio diziam.
Você deve ter percebido o quão fácil seria o domínio que os jornais tinham naquela época. Posso dizer que através da mídia, aliada com o governo é uma união perfeita para manipular qualquer pessoa e sem exageros, uma nação inteira. O Brasil por anos foi governado pelo governo do PT, para os amigos leitores mais atualizados com as informações do Brasil, pelo mesmo partido que está no poder no Brasil hoje.
Cresci em um estado que há muito tempo tem os piores índices de educação e violência no país. Sabemos que a educação é a base para qualquer lugar prosperar, mas a região onde nasci é a pior nesse quesito em todo o Brasil. Para você ter uma ideia, curiosamente o partido do governo atual domina essa região por décadas.
Hoje tenho 3 filhos, mas quando decidi sair do meu estado onde nasci foi por que precisava dar um futuro melhor para meus filhos na época só tinha meus dois meninos e a minha filha só nasceu agora onde estou morando. Aqui em termos de segurança é muito melhor e na educação também.
Onde eu morava, já vi pessoas sendo assaltadas e um amigo meu foi assaltado na frente da casa dele e a outra pessoa que estava com ele foi agredido pelo bandido. O ladrão não estar preocupado se é de manhã, tarde ou noite... Quantas pessoas que saíram para trabalhar de manhã cedo e foram assaltadas? Saiba que foram muitos por aqui.
Um dos momentos mais tristes na minha vida
Eu lembro como se fosse hoje, eu estava pintando na casa dos meus pais que precisava de uma ajuda nisso e de repente me avisaram que minha esposa que estava grávida do meu segundo filho foi assaltada quando estava voltando para nossa casa à noite. Dois assaltantes na moto abordaram ela e levaram seu celular com ela grávida e isso me revolta até hoje.
Fiquei muito preocupado com ela porque vocês devem saber que o período de gestação é bastante delicado e eu não queria que ela perdesse meu filho por ter esse trauma. Minha esposa demorou muito tempo para se recuperar desse trauma de ter medo quando uma moto se aproximasse dela. Sem dúvidas foi um período bem triste e delicado. Mas graças a Deus que meu filho nasceu e hoje ele tem 9 anos de idade.
É difícil no Brasil conhecer alguém que nunca foi assaltado ou furtado. Por mais que a gente tente se prevenir, infelizmente as coisas acontecem. Eu mesmo fui assaltado uma vez quando eu tinha 12 anos quando o bandido roubou meu boné. Como eu era jovem eu ainda fui atrás dele, mas quando vi que ele tinha uma faca, tive que recuar, pois minha vida valia mais que aquele boné.
Meses depois soube através de um amigo meu que esse mesmo bandido havia sido preso e tempo depois foi morto. Se realmente isso foi verdade, ele teve o que merecia. Eu não tenho pena nenhum de bandido e infelizmente as leis aqui no Brasil não são duras com esse pessoal. Gostaria muito ver penas mais severas para ladrões, assassinos e estupradores. Não importa a pena, quando cumprem um terço, eles podem ter o regime aberto ou semiaberto... Tudo vai depender do juiz e dos seus advogados.
Rio de Janeiro não é o que você pensa
Sinceramente não sei como está hoje o pensamento de quem não é do Brasil possui sobre o Rio de Janeiro... Sei que é uma cidade bastante famosa no mundo a fora e saibam que turista, principalmente do exterior quando visitam a “Cidade Maravilhos”, não voltam nunca mais. Sabem porquê? Pelo simples fato de ou foram assaltados, tiveram uma péssima recepção, algum parente foi assassinado ou presenciou algum assalto.
Eu fico triste sempre em pensar e dizer isso aqui, para quem não sabe eu torço para o Flamengo, é a maior torcida do mundo com mais de 45 milhões de torcedores e eu nunca penso em um dia visitar o seu museu, sua sede e muito menos assistir a uma partida em sua cidade, sabem por quê? Fica no Rio de Janeiro. Eu que moro no Brasil não penso em ir nunca para lá porque não quero correr o risco de ser assaltado ou morto na frente dos meus filhos.
Um pai de família deve preservar a segurança e a vida de seus filhos e das pessoas que ama. Lá é uma guerra diária para o policial militar. Para você ter uma ideia de como é lá, se algum carro ou moto podendo ser Uber ou mesmo veículo particular, se entrar em alguma rua “errada” onde é proibido entrar, a pessoa é alvejada por tiros ou é sequestrada e só Deus saberá o que irá acontecer com essa pessoa.
No X, praticamente todos os dias alguém divulga foto de algum ente querido, na sua maioria sendo homem de que sumiu... O que eles faziam? A grande maioria era Uber moto e taxista. Obviamente entrou em algum lugar nas favelas que não era permitido e ou foram confundidos por serem de facções rivais e tiveram seu fim trágico.
Não, eu não quero essa vida para meus filhos e é claro que durante o desenvolvimento deles, eu procuro sempre educa-los e ensiná-los de que a vida, o mundo real não é o que vemos na TV. A vida aqui é cruel, é injusta e é o dever do pai e da mãe preparar seus filhos para encarar esse mundo de hoje.
A fragilidade do povo brasileiro
Eu sinceramente não sei como que as pessoas foram capazes de votar no Lula para ser o presidente atual do Brasil, por tudo que ele já fez nos últimos anos e se você não sabe, o Brasil hoje é conhecido como um país corrupto graças a ele e seu partido. Mas o que posso dizer é que uma das coisas que fez ele se eleger é o famoso “Pão e Circo”.
Muitas pessoas hoje confessam que foram enganadas pela típica mentira no período eleitoral quando Lula disse que o povo voltaria a comer picanha e que poderia comprar sua cerveja a vontade. Você percebe o nível dessa gente fácil de ser manipulada e a mídia foi uma das grandes responsáveis por isso.
Se não fosse a internet, muitas coisas não seriam reveladas e cada vez mais a mídia tradicional está em sua decadência. A TV Globo que era a grande poderosa no Brasil e que ganhava muita audiência, hoje estar sofrendo com sua baixa reputação e com demissões em massa para poder continuar pagando salários altíssimos de “celebridades” em sua emissora. Apesar de que o governo paga bem e muito bem para Globo, eles já percebem que nos próximos anos, não terão mais tanta relevância na casa do brasileiro.
Concluindo
A impunidade impera no Brasil, se você é pobre, terá muita dificuldade para sobreviver por aqui. Com tantos impostos criados recentemente pelo atual governo, às vezes me pergunto como que alguém consegue viver com um salário mínimo de R$1,412. O pobre compra um celular por praticamente esse preço e divide em 10 vezes a parcela do cartão de crédito e advinha, é assaltado.
Como eu disse antes, felizmente onde moro eu posso sair de casa e ter aquela sensação de mais segurança pois aqui a polícia militar tem mais autoridade para combater o crime organizado. Por ser um país continental, ainda existem regiões onde podemos ter uma boa qualidade de vida, educação, saúde e segurança melhor do que em outros lugares.
Não sei como será daqui a 5 ou 10 anos, já pensei muito em sair daqui com minha família e talvez eu volte a pensar nisso. Mas 2026 teremos novas eleições e estou bastante curioso para saber se o povo brasileiro já aprendeu a lição ou irá continuar a deixar que esse governo atual nos trate como lixo. E pensar que foram apenas 2 milhões de votos que fizeram o país estar desse jeito...
