If I was asked back in, let’s say, 2019, I would list many reasons why the Zodiac signs are accurate and why you need to read your horoscopes. I used to be bullish on Zodiac signs and horoscopes, not like I am totally against it now but, I believe to some extent that these things exist and can be accurate.
Focus now, I won’t say I don’t believe in the power of astrology, I do, but I don’t let it run my life like I did back then. I believe we make our own destiny and all these things are just new ways for people to “collect money for a reading”. Charging me $25 to send me an email of things that are probably made up? Yeah, people pay for nonsense.
If you ask me about my zodiac, I will say Taurus and that is it. I believe that Tauruses crave stability, security and certainty, because I am like that. Been that way before I even got to know that the stars could “talk”. I hate being dumped with decisions that have options that either or neither are favourable or high risk. I like safety, and maybe that's why I am not rich yet… lol.
I believe Tauruses are sturdy and rooted to nature, also stubborn when it comes to things they believe in and set their mind on. I believe Tauruses can thrive alone, with or without help but they flourish in an atmosphere of love and support. I believe that a Taurus gives and is loyal enough to lay down their lives for people they love. I believe this because I am Taurus.
What I don’t believe in is the fixed mindset that a person behaves according to their zodiac. A taurus is labelled argumentative and assertive, well, that I used to be but it is something I have worked religiously on. I am not my Zodiac sign. I am a person who is undergoing character transformation and I will make mistakes along the way. These mistakes will teach me how to bend and flow with the energy in the room.

I don’t believe in horoscopes (not anymore) and the concept that you can tell the future from the stars. That is bullshit. The future is not certain and has many variables, it is always a miracle that the one in a million of these variables, which is the future you want, happen. And it is a miracle because you put in the work not pay someone money to see it for you. The only future I believe in is the one I see.
There are so many theories, so many concepts to what astrology is and what it makes of us. This is me saying that I do believe in the existence of zodiac signs but not the power they have over you. Your behaviour, actions, concerns, attitude is not as a result of your zodiac sign. Your zodiac sign is not you. It is fun to say, “Oh I’m Taurus” but that is where it should end. It becomes stupid and downright bogus when you use your zodiac as an excuse at every turn. So what, you don’t have an identity?
In conclusion, your zodiac sign is not an excuse for your fuckups, and people can’t tell you the future. So, stop paying some stranger $25 and start reading books worth less in fiat and more in knowledge. Be a person, not a zodiac.
