And so June passes. It feels like only yesterday we started the year, how time flies I will never get to know.
Today is the first of July. Also HPUD and my Mother’s birth month. I look forward to that. Hive Power Up Day, otherwise known as HPUD happens every first day of each month. What do we do?
Well, we stake Hive. This act is not just for your benefit but that of the entire blockchain. In simple words, it’s like putting your faith into “coins”.
I Powered Up 10 Hive. I used to say I would do this consistently but I’ve learned the hard way to just shut up and do it. Seems like the universe always waiting for me to say stuff so she can jinx it. I have in turn learned to just do first, talk later.
I expect quite a lot from July. The most prominent of my thoughts is grasping this curve that comes with business. June began very well but somehow it all dived!
We couldn’t afford to make Yam anymore. Not until the prices come down and so we switched to making other foods that wasn’t Yam. It was all going well but then two weeks into June, it all nose dived.
I’ve been dealing with the sour feeling that comes with loosing money and not having enough of it to fully do stuff. I think I’ll just say that I’m holding on to the fact that things can turn around. I just need to find out how.
However, thanks to June, I now understand the dynamics that come with accountability and proper money management. I discovered a system that works for me when it comes to handling the finances of the business. I have learned that what works at home won’t work everywhere.
The magic of discovery is that it doesn’t happen all at once. It comes in bits and pieces, like whispers and chimes. The next thing, it becomes very clear and you have a vivid road map.
That’s how it happened. I open and close accounts daily. Each and every time, I wonder how I can fully maximize and keep my sights on what is going on with the business. As an experiment, i opened one pocket for savings. However, that little puzzle just fell into place and it made sense that I can evenly distribute while still channeling my profit.
So I opened a pocket for every product we sold. And what do you know? By the end of that week, I could effectively (without stress) buy things needed. I was so proud of myself.
However, like I said, a nosedive. Demand plummeted and I am still finding my way around it. I may be in over my head but I am taking it in stride. DD is just a little close to five months since her opening. I know it won’t happen in an instant. I know the process would be tough. Still, I live each day presently and consciously.
The good news is that we are now in July. Certain yams would have begun to be harvested. I have already dialed my yam plug and put myself on the list for those wanting yam.
Now, I have to actively make money available and ready for when that time comes. @tengolotodo always a step ahead with his wizard wisdom. And thanks to him, I’m now a premium member on InLeo. I have no words.
I and Tengo go way back. Since 2021 and he’s been nothing but supportive and helpful. Even when I’m very… stubborn. Thank you my friend. You always have my love.
Now. July has come. What do I plan to achieve? Honestly, I’m not putting any of my goals on the Hive Blockchain or anywhere public again. There’ll only be reports of my progress. It feels better that way.
However, one thing I want to do is celebrate with my mom. She turns 64 this year. Was already paying in installments since May for the gift I want to give her. I’m not done paying, but I know she’d like it.
Overall, June was a beautiful month of hard lessons and thorough work. This July, I hope to do my best again!
