I CAN RELATE...

I got caught up in the net of the ‘Student Syndrome,’ where you happen to have the drive to read a course a night prior to the examination.

I recently finished my first semester’s examination, and I can say I felt the student syndrome throughout the period of my examination, and it affected every single paper.

After each paper, I'll tell myself, “Gift, you know you could have done better if you started reading this course on time.”
Each time I tried to convince myself to start early, but no, I ended up going on the roller coaster ride labelled ‘Student Syndrome.’

Sincerely, I can attest to it that self-motivation is not built in a day, but I would really love to master that art.

I could imagine myself doing a lot, but there was no drive to start or continue, so I developed a strategy. What I did was, I began to read with some of my coursemates; we exchanged notes, shared new updates, and read together. All these made reading and assimilation faster, making me live up to my last name, a Yoruba name, as I am a Nigerian. The name is “AREGBESOLA,” which I translated to “one who likes the company of others.”.

How many of you, who are students or were once students, can relate to this?

It is not easy to be self-motivated... I struggle with it a lot and one way one can be motivated to do the things they need to do is to be in the right company of people, which is what you did there. Hence the importance of having a circle of shared goals.

How many of you, who are students or were once students, can relate to this?

I can relate to this, and it was the reason why "The Growth Catalysts" circle was formed while we were in school and still functioning even after school.

As the saying, no one is an island of knowledge... It's so good to have friends

yeah... you got it right
