Everyone has a different definition of what a miracle is, but a simple definition like this says it all "A miracle is an event that happens beyond human understanding"
I have experienced so many miracles that at first, I thought it was a mere coincidence but after checking the facts and seeing what was happening, then I knew miracles do happen.
In my write-up today, I am not here to preach to you but I am here to talk about the Miracle of God in my life, so if you stick around much longer, you will understand that miracles do happen.
I was born into a Christian home, so growing up we heard a lot of bible stories of miracles that God performed. I always thought miracles are things that happen which will blow your mind immediately but the one that happened in our family took us time to understand. We were living with a miracle without realizing it.
In 2012/2013, my dad lost his job. It was a really tough time for the family because he was the sole provider of his family, and we had no savings or insurance to help us. Things started getting hard and all means to get a new job were fruitless. My dad who everyone knows to be a pastor didn't have anyone to run to. So, one night, we were so hungry, my dad, my mom, and my siblings. We were looking at ourselves because the foodstuff we had at home had finished.
"Everyone come together, kneel, and let's pray," My dad said, I was so young and hungry. All I could think of was "Give us food" but thanks to our upbringing. My dad does tell us,
If you need something, and I can't give it to you. Ask your heavenly father.
That night, we all prayed as a family for provision, and as kids, we prayed with the sincerity of our hearts. The following month, without planting crops and vegetables in our compound, crops and vegetables started growing. Tomatoes, Ugu leaf, corn, and many more. It felt like a dream so we maximized it and started planting more.
Note: Our compound is a place where we play ball and do many other activities, not even grass grows on it during raining season.
A neighbor three house away from ours was discussing with my mom, she said "I don't know why I keep seeing snails in my compound, big snails" This woman in question doesn't eat snail. We started going to her place at night to pick up big snails like someone was raring it for us. We picked everytime we need some and it never finished. We continue to use as our protein while we take from our farm produce.
We ate those for a year, and after a year my dad got a job with a very little pay. We were all happy for him and we knew things we take a new turn. After his first salary, our small farm in our compound dried up, we went to pick some snails and not the smallest one could be found. Went several time but couldn't find any, then my dad told us never to go back there.
At his place of work, you need to be a staff for 5 years before getting promoted. In that 5 years, my dad was promoted 3 times and was made chief of safety for the company. He is not traveling all over the country for meetings and conferences.
Thinking back now, after dropping out of school, it felt like it was over but God really showed up and brought miracle our way. Everything about that time was a miracle, currently we have three graduate in the family and we are all doing well.
If you read this and still don’t believe in miracle, let me tell you this, your life itself is a miracle.
Thanks for reading.
