If there's anything I love more, it's the ability to see my thoughts come to reality. This passion made me learn how to make paints - because I wanted to bring beauty to the walls. Walls shouldn't be boring, you know. 😉
I decided to paint a room in the house and my wife was waiting excitedly to see the final result. This was my first time of making paints.
At first, everything was going well. I had chosen a lovely shade of blue and had taped the part where I wanted to decorate in order to add more beauty. I even bought a paintbrush that was really cost so I could get a smooth finish.
But as I began to apply the paint, things started to go kind of upside down. The colour was much darker than I anticipated and the wall seemed to reject my paint - it was just flowing to the ground.
Hours had passed and the whole room was looking like a messy canvass. I mean, I thought something beautiful was what I expected! The paint was dripping and pooling on the floor and even my wife had told me to stop. But, I was determined to keep trying.
I made another paint and this time, more carefully. I made sure I added the right measurements.
After everything, I completed it. But, it was nothing close to what I envisioned and I was exhausted already. The overall effect was chaotic rather than calming.
My wife tried to encourage me, letting me know that mistakes are a part of learning and she told me that the next time I tried, it was going to be even more better.
I was thinking of leaving it to the professionals in painting but what she said made me determined to improve myself.
As we stood there, looking at the project turned disaster, we understood that sometimes, even our best intentions can go awry but our determination to respond positively to the mistakes was what mattered most.
