WaZoBia!
Welcome to a new edition of the Hive Naija Weekly Prompts. This initiative is one of our activities to explore our creativity and foster connections amongst ourselves.
Whether you're a seasoned creator or just discovering the joy of expressing your thoughts, these prompts are crafted to inspire and ignite your creativity, as well as interact with the creativity of others in the community.
Last Edition's Winners:
What a blast this week! We had 38 of you share beautiful memories and heartfelt response with us! We appreciate every participant for taking giant strides to expand their minds with the last edition's prompts. Many were as beautiful as they came. And there are a few that we want to showcase for their exceptional entries and level of engagement in the community.
First Place

I got to my room in no time, jumped on the bed and I started dozing off. I discovered in the university that I wasn't a deep sleeper. Little sounds or noise could wake me up and that was exactly what happened that night. The whisper came very light like a radio playing music at its lowest volume. I opened my eyes and paid close attention only to realize it was my parent talking.
Second Place

Everything is always easier to talk about if you are not actually in that situation. However, it's no doubt going to be a very confusing moment. Processing the information might even take a while too. Taking in the fact the people I knew as family all my life aren't actually related to me by blood. I will eventually have to accept that fact, but they will remain my family anyways.
Third Place
by @intishar
What if in the morning I reveal the truth that those people I call parents are not my biological parents? What will be my response after figuring out the truth? What will be my emotional state, and how will I adjust to the situation? I think it's hard to imagine, and I'm saying it is quite complicated because a lot of things are interconnected about the topic. I am trying to imagine myself in such a position and trying to give an answer to it.
Congratulations to these talented individuals for their outstanding contributions. Now, we would like mention a few other entries that we deem exceptional.
This Week's Prompts:
📝 As we go through life, no doubt we have heard a lot of quotes that were symbolic to us in one way or the other. This week, we want to know that one special life quote that has stuck with you and why this particular quote is important to you and how it may have affected your life.
📝 Tell us the worst lie you ever believed. It could be a superstitious belief or something someone told you that you later found out was untrue, but at the time, you believed it wholeheartedly. Tell us this lie and what your reaction was when you found out the truth to it.
Guidelines:
- Pick a prompt, craft a masterpiece, and be unique with your title.
- Ensure your entry is at least 500 words
- Use copyright-free images and properly source them; indicate if they belong to you.
