Learned something from social media

Social media has become popular since the last decade, and the popularity of social media is increasing day by day. Facebook, Twitter (currently X), YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn are some popular social media in recent times. Because of social media, communication between us has increased a lot compared to the past.

Everything that comes to us in pairs means everything has positive and negative sides, and in the case of social media, it's the same. Unfortunately, most of us use social media for wasting time, and it's not a positive use of social media. Whatever, it depends on the users.

In the case of social media, I always tried to take it as the media of recreation. Still, now it's the same except for some social media like Hive. Instead of it, I got a little positive touch from social media, where I learned something new and I tried to take the best advantage of it.

In my college days, learning online was not so popular, and I haven't seen anyone doing such a thing. On YouTube, there was a channel where all the lessons of my intermediate level were prepared well. As long as I can remember, at that time there were no second channels in my country related to the study of my intermediate level. Fortunately, I had a mobile phone, and I downloaded those videos, and watching those videos, I prepared my lesson without anyone's help. It was the first time I gained study-related knowledge from social media.

I used to join some study-related Facebook groups also, as I had the intention to learn something from Facebook. I gained a lot of knowledge from them also. Moreover, I learned many shot-cut tips and tricks from those groups, which helped me a lot in my studies, especially in memorizing hard lessons. It's unfortunate that now I don't use Facebook for such a thing. In fact, I reduced my Facebook activity a lot compared to that time, as now I think using Facebook is just a waste of time.

Let's talk about cooking. Before I was admitted to my university, I had almost zero knowledge about cooking except for some basics because I only knew how to eat. When I shifted to a mess, for various reasons I needed to cook food with friends, and we tested many new recipes. I must give credit to social media because I learned a lot from social media about cooking. I believe if there were no social media, I might not be as good at cooking as I am now.

Crypto is known as the future money of the future world, and it's a hot trending topic now. In the past, I only heard the name of it and it on social media. Later, I could explore cryptocurrency knowledge because of social media. Now I am not a crypto expert, but at least I have the basic concept of cryptocurrency and I know how to trade. Right now I have a small amount of crypto assets also. I would not learn about cryptocurrency knowledge if there were no social media. I am thankful to social media for it.

To be honest, there are many other things I have learned from social media, but I think those were not as significant as those shared ones. In fact, Hive is also a social media platform from where I am learning continuously, and little by little I am learning something new each day.
